Smaller belt!?

Sorry, I missed the thread about this. Was this a change from KW or something you did yourself?

yes the upgrade from kraftwerks for the original kit owners includes a smaller pulley which in turn uses a smaller belt. they changed the pulley and put in a molded insert where the inlet is to restrict airflow to 5psi.

I just removed the insert and bought the necessary fuel management/injectors to run with it and i am at 10psi.

Dang so awesome. I'm going to definitely convince my gf to trade the Tc for a Fit now since she wants an auto and I was afraid the KWSC wouldn't have as much potential unless it was manual. Glad you proved that the tranny is stronger than that.

im in ny. maybe i'll see you at one of the fit meets. haven't really got a good look at an 09 yet.

edit: yeah i painted the interior console to match the car. plus i painted the s/c piping too. has faded a tiny bit but i have had it on for 2+ years. the s/c piping i just did plus i used urethane based paint and clearcoat much more durable.

Oh Hell!

That looks pretty damn good leonine! Can't wait to see it in person. How about posting up a vid or two?

I just got back from a "full speed ahead" road trip - Long Island to Mohegan Sun Casino in CT and back. My 5PSI Fit definitely held it's own when it came time to aggressively pass and maintaining velocity() in the hilly sections. I gotta' imagine 10 PSI is pretty much perfect for the Fit engine.

You need to clue us in to some of these things that you have under that hood. Like for instance the black box to the right of the oil tank.... You have sure been a busy man.

The stock manifold had a vacuum line from the pcv to the intake chamber in the front where it recirculates. The orange line is the same thing-pcv to intake just a different location. I branched off of that line to a T. one side runs thru the firewall where it connects to the AEM F/IC. The other goes to the BOV. You will notice i also put a universal fuel filter in between the orange line. That is because there is so much air inside the engine that it is coming back out the pcv valve in the opposite direction. I had to put a filter there to catch some of the oil mist.

To the right of the supercharger oil resevoir is the cusco oil catch can and buddy club voltage regulater/grounding kit (black box).

I need to get blue vacuum lines and radiator hose.
