I noticed that you heard a bit more of an air "wisping" sound inside the car with the header than before, although what I have found is the actual exhuast noise is controlled by the muffler system you choose.
For the winter months I usually bolt up my OEM muffler and the car looks and sounds just like stock aside from that "wisping" sound I mentioned before. Most people don't even notice that sound other than me. Without the cat it does pop lightly once in a while when downshifting, but again not really enough that it is noticible with the OEM muffler.
When I bolt on the exhuast (in this case I still have the T1R 50s) the noise levels go up considerably and the popping is way more evident. On the other hand with the exhuast running more free you can feel the it accelerating much easier, low range power is excellent when compared to stock. With the scilencer in it isn't too loud and doesn't get me into much trouble. Most of the time I get people commenting on how nice the car sounds when it accelerates.
On the other hand if you pull the silencer out it is crazy loud and sounds like a rally car when downshifting. I get a lot of people either shaking thier heads at me or trying to street race, it is kind of fun once in a while but it gets old fast on public roads.

The VTEC mechanism on the L15A VTEC is that of a 1-valve/2-valve system for the intake side only. The exhaust side always functions as a 2-valve system. So the L15A VTEC is a 12valve/16valve system.
