The plug alone looks like its worth $200!!!
Looks great. Id love to invest in that intake also, even if my Fit isnt built yet.

Here's something amusing -- yesterday Ben @ AJR mentioned to me that someone is selling Power Boxes on Ebay and is using a pic of my car in their ad. They never asked me, but there it is. I was gonna email them about it, but, eh . . . Kinda funny though.

You cant really do anything besides yell at them and ask them to remove the pic.
Some guy a while back used a pic of my moms engine bay since I was one of the first people to buy and install the K&N Typhoon intake for the tC's.

Hes still using it.

I just sent them an email. Actually, I think I know who it might be from the email address, and if it is then I don't mind really as I have a HP link exchange w/ them and they may have thought it's ok because of that. If it's not, then we'll see what they say and go from there.

No problem, it's from Jigolo Jigorou by Atsushi Kase. Not sure if it's out in English, but it's a pretty fun read -- especially if you like Japanese Bosozoku and tuning culture. Definitely more interesting than Initial D I think, and based more on current JDM car culture.

Re: the eBay seller using my car's pic, I know who it is now and they're OK. Just a miscommunication via a mutual acquaintance and he thought he had permission to use the photo. If you didn't check the link from a few posts back, he's selling USDM Power Box's just like mine, hence the photo. His English is fairly good, so this might be an easy way to get one without going straight to LS. I've never done business with him directly, but I would imagine it's no problem as he's pretty well known among the Japanese Fit Owners' Club members and even LS itself.

Mmm, it should -- all the USDM PB's are supposed to have the new sensor hole drilled like mine and the old one plugged from what I've heard. That's why I just got the new plug a short while ago, it took time to have a large batch of plugs made up to be used w/ the USDM PB's. My understanding is that Jeno's getting them from LS directly, so I assume it would have the new hole. Best bet is to drop him an email and just ask, though.

i did and he said the plug was included if the winner was within the USDM market. very fast reply as well even if the english is a bit off

heres the reply:

Hello,

Last Station is our friedn's company.
and,
We understand it about USDM and a lot of kind of world FIT/JAZZ.
If a successful bidder is USDM,
We enclose a sensor hole plug.
This time,
We were asked to exhibit an article at auction experimentally by Last Station.
So, a current price is cheaper more than USD100 than a retail price.
Speaking frankly, it's in the red price ...

Yup, that's pretty much what he told me. Depending on the final price, you can still probably get a good deal seeing that his shipping is about $35 less then what I paid, maybe because it's being shipped from a different city there. Definitely if it's EMS shipping you'll get it quick -- everything for me comes 2-4 days at the most and I'm on the East coast.

It's no problem at all. I got LS's email also and sent a reply back, so everything is good. I'm glad you've come to FitFreak to check us out. It's a good forum and any Fit advice/help you can give will be really cool.

It's underground story.

In Jpn, FIT was released in June 2001.
5 years more ago from now.

before long,
HKS and A'PEXi (aka A'PEX) began to sell Intake system for FIT first.
but, these are just combinations of air filter and the pipe.
(OCT 2001)

This is effective in the Turbo engine.
but, It's not suitable for FIT's NA engine at all.
High RPM is OK, but torque gets decreased in Low-Middle RPM.
With this, it is not easy to get on at all by the town ride.

Especially, the car that exchanges the exhaust muffler decreases the torque of Low-Middle RPM sharply.
And, the filter arranged behind the radiator breathes in heat too much.
The rise of the suction air temp and the water temp delays the ignition timing.
When the ignition timing is delayed, torque is downed.
As if, it's a deflationary spiral.
the worst in summer season.

Why does the hks and a'pexi sell such a parts for FIT?
coz it's a product of marketable parts.
It sells to an amateur who doesn't know the Tuning tech very well.
coz externals are Racy and good-looking.
And, the price is cheap.
They might have considerably earned it by this in Jpn for a while.

btw,
can my English be read?
may i continue?
