may I ask about the "debatable intake" ? is it, not too your liking?
Debatable as in do they really add any gains since it's apparently sucking in the hot engine air. I think someone had mentioned AEM testing it at early morning temps, etc so their numbers are skewed. I personally think there's plenty of space and air circulation in the engine bay where the hot air can escape. You can see a lot of concrete from above and behind the little 1.5L motor. I cannot say about performance because I switched it out way before the break in period so never had a chance to drive the RPM up with the stock intake. I love the sound of it when it gulps for air and the engine doesnt sound strenuous on the freeway. The car has plenty of power for me, coming from a 1989 honda civic automatic. It was sad to see it go last week, only had 130k miles.
It was due for a smog check and registration, never changed the water pump and timing belt, master cylinder leak, oil pan leak and some other stuff. Wasted 6 hours swapping back in the stock springs and shocks and can't even sell the sportlines and tokico blues for $100 haha. Bay Area Air Quality Management District car buy back program gave me $1,000 for it.
It's been a long while since I've posted on here. After 25,809 miles, it's still driving great and it's time for something bigger. I want to sell to another enthusiast or someone they may know but don't meet the 20 post requirement, so hopefully I'll be able to officially post it for sale soon. Looks just as good as day #1, minus the minor dings and scratches
