Cargo Light Switch Install w/ Pics

should have been stock
Nice fix! I ordered part # 34265-SFE-003 from Acura $17 shipped. Pryed out the old one with a tiny screwdriver padded with a rag, switched the bulbs, switched the connecter (looks kind of like a phone jack), popped it back in and that annoyance was fixed with about 60 seconds install time. Looks PERFECTLY OEM!

the little resistor/diode. is a diode lol. it keeps the current flowing in one direction. sometimes circuitry is weird when you assume one section of circuitry is off but then when another part is on, they both come on. diodes ensure that the current doesnt travel backwards. weird thing tho, i wonder why it has one.

I picked up my new Lens today, & just put it in.
Good work on finding the part number!
Just found this site: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/
I plugged in the part number, & found out how bad the
Acura dealer gouged me. Next time I'll order from these folks.

I found this old thread and checked to see what other Honda cars the Acura cargo lamp is installed in. Its currently used in the Honda Crosstour and HRV, so anyone who hasn't upgraded the Fit to a cargo lamp with a switch can order the same part with the switch instead.
