Why are the mats so hard to install?

many new cars, *including toyotas and lexus'*, have the "hooks" for the carpeted floor mats. i didn't hesitate when i learned you had to cut away at teh insulation.

I didnt mess with mine at all. When they came in from college hills honda i just threw them in. I will wait for summer to fully install them. Not really a huge deal cause they stay in place pretty well.

I like my 7 dollar mats just fine lol, after some tool drawer fabric under the drivers mat i have no issue with sliding

I go the all season floor mats with my car. My dealership screwed up my carpet trying to install them so I need to bring it back in now so they can repair the carpet...

That's some kinda screw up - the carpets are pre-cut. I wouldn't go back there for any kind of work, even for free.

Honestly unless they're already pre-installed you should just put the hooks in yourself. It's easy as ****. D:
