Realistically, if you wanted to do a track day with the Fit, and not have it completely suck, I would recommend upgraded brake pads, brake fluid, decent tires, rear anti-roll bar, and camber bolts. Those five items will make a huge difference and you can still daily the car with no issues and no real sacrifice of comfort.

The only thing I don't like in the GEs, or any Fit for that matter, are the seats. The factory seats are not comfortable, to me, and will start hurting my back after 30-45 minutes of being on the road. Other than that, I will say, the GE is easily my favorite generation of the Fit and yours is clad in that beautiful orange. In this category of cars, I don't think anything else comes close to what the Fit offers as an entire package.

Also, if you wanted to step up the brakes even further, you could do the ITR calipers with Mini Cooper rotors and TSX brake pads; the whole setup isn't very expensive compared to name brand big brake kits. The calipers will even clear the Sport wheels with a 3 mm spacer for that sleeper look, if that's a concern of yours.

Here are a few pics of the wheels and fitment, perfectly flush no spacers, fenders rolled but not pulled. No rubbing at all but I'm also just lowered on Swift springs 15x8 +35 205/50 camber at -1.5 all around

Also, installed the WK Motorsports shifter and holy.. Throws are even shorter than my friends Hybrid, dare I say almost too short? Feels like I'm shifting a sequential trans

I think it's great that Fit owners have multiple adjustable-short-shifter solutions available on the market now. Wheels look nice; give them a proper clean and let that white shine.

I installed an Mtec shifter spring when I did the CDV delete and that paired with the WK makes it feel like a gated shifter but with 1 inch throws!

Been raining quite a bit recently in Norcal, thankfully I ceramic coated them last week so all that grime should come off pretty easily! Saving up for a k24 swap myself whilst also still looking into the L15B7(which I honestly think is the better swap, lighter weight with very similar power potential), are you going to do the swap yourself or have a shop do it ? My current apartment managers won't let me even do an oil change in my driveway let alone an engine swap so I might need to find a shop that could facilitate that for me.

Do you have any parts for sale? Just picked up a Recaro Sportster CS and can't find anyone that stocks the Bride Type RO bracket needed for it, might have to go Wedge if I don't want to wait months for the Bride to ship from Japan. Though, haven't had the best experience with their fitment/quality in the past(Wedge).

If you know anyone selling their Racing Green or OG Bronze in 15x8 +35 let me know!

I love the MTEC shifter spring. I'm always amazed at how such a small part makes such a big difference. I will be doing the swap with a friend at his house. He swapped his GE8 with a K24 years ago before things were becoming more popular and figured it all out with everything functioning. The L15B7 will definitely make more power with simple mods, but I am a big fan of naturally-aspirated engines.

Even the Bride seat rail isn't the greatest, to be honest, but I would suggest biting the bullet and just waiting after you place an order. I was lucky and found a driver/passenger pair about 30 minutes away from me in great condition.

I spent months trying to source Racing Green TE37SLs with no luck. If you find a set, they're going to be very expensive and/or not in the greatest shape; only real option is to order and wait. I was lucky and found the 16" Sonics available in NorCal and opted for those since I figured they are a better match for the future K24 anyway.

So I don't get this wrong, 2007 Mini Cooper 280mm rotors, TSX pads, calipers (17CL15VN) will bolt right up to a GD3 with no problem at all? And you said that one doesn't have to get upgrade the MC?

Yup, TSX pads for 2004-2008, but I believe they're the same even past 2008. This setup will work for any of the USDM-spec Fits. BMC upgrade is optional, but it is not necessary for the setup to work. If you search "ITR BBK" or keywords along those lines, you'll find a lot of information on this exact setup as it is not specific for the Fits and is widely used by many Honda enthusiasts for a cheap and effective upgrade.

I too was surprised how much that little MTEC spring had changed the feel, quite substantially!

I think the hardest part of the swap is fabbing your own header, everything else seems pretty straight forward. Perhaps taking an existing k swap header and slightly modifying it is the best/cheapest option.

Tried contacting all the typical vendors and no one has the GD3 Bride brackets in stock, 4-6 months current estimated shipping times.. Just went ahead and had Planted Technology make me a bracket.

Initially, when I installed my front BBK and rear disc brakes, I opted not to paint my refurbished Centric calipers--this was not a good idea. Centric applies an anti-corrosion coating to the calipers, but it does not last long at all, so my current calipers don't really look all that great. That being said, I bought a new set of front/rear calipers, to avoid downtime, and painted them with VHT paint (VHT SP735). I like the clean and simple look of silver calipers. Unless you know what you're looking at, you can't really tell what's going on with silver calipers, which I like.

Here's a before & after with the front, painted calipers next to the rear, unpainted calipers:

I also installed an Antigravity ATX-20 battery in place of my OEM Honda battery. This saved me roughly twenty pounds, on the nose of the car, over the stock battery and it fits great with the optional battery tray. With the rest of my weight reduction, I should have removed roughly one hundred thirty pounds from the car and I still have some more to go.

Nice! Just ordered a set of the Wilwood DPHA in Competition Blue during the black friday weekend. Great weight savings on that battery! Also, someone approached me to trade their OG Racing Greens for my Time Attack Whites and was baffled as to why lol but we'll be Racing Green twins!

Nice trade! Never been a fan of white wheels, personally, so I view that as a huge come up.

Recently, I bought a Recaro Pole Position ABE with matching fabric pattern to my Recaro SR-4. For the time being, the Pole Position will be my new driving and the SR-4 will become my passenger seat. Unfortunately, with the way the factory seat belt is designed for the passenger seat, it'll take a bit more work to have the OEM seat belt work with the aftermarket seat, so it's just the one seat, for now. I also removed my curtain air bags along with the passenger air bag for further weight savings and to continue to steer towards my goal of turning this car into a track machine. Currently, with no passenger seat, total weight removed from the car is around 267 lbs. I still have quite a few things I could remove or swap for lighter components, so we'll see what else happens.

Here's a photo of the setup before I swapped over to the Pole Position seat:

Here's another look at the interior while it was in the process of having the Pole Position seat installed:

Here's how it sits for now:

1) I was going to ask you how the rear seat delete affected the handling of the car, but I see that you've now gutted the entire car, so I'll ask: How does gutting the car affect the handling relative to a stock car?

2) Is that Antigravity battery suitable for a daily driver?

Nice build.

What are you considering to mount the passenger side seatbelt ?

Do you have any parts for sale ? Always wondered what you did with the original jdm tail lights that came with the car, those still around ?

Sorry, I couldn't really tell you because I never had this car stock. I bought it with coilovers and some other modifications already installed. I'd imagine my weight balance is off further than stock; I've also yet to corner balance the car. There's still a lot of weight to shed, if you want to be technical. I will also be adding a passenger seat back in, but it wasn't done at the same time as the driver's seat install because it required additional modifications to make it work. My goal with this car is to have it heavily-geared toward track usage, so the shoe may not fit most others.

Future ideas might include:
- removing interior carpet entirely
- removing front anti-roll bar and end links
- relocate battery inside vehicle cabin and remove factory battery tray
- removing remaining interior plastic panels
- removing wiring from harnesses for stuff that isn't applicable to my car any longer

As for the battery, I don't see why it's not suitable for daily usage. It's been in my car for over a month now and I've had zero issues with it. This is my daily driver by the way.

Also, thank you.

We're going to remove the provision from the factory passenger seat rail and bolt it on to my Bride rail which will allow us to bolt the passenger-side seatbelt to the seat rail as if it were a factory seat rail. I'm working on having custom seat mounts made that'll better suit my needs and will be selling my Bride seat rails and the side mount brackets eventually.

I do not have any parts for sale, currently. One of the original JDM tail lights that came with the car had a crack in the lens which is what prompted me to get rid of them in the first place.

How are you liking those Megan Coilovers? I was thinking of getting some of those.

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but they're okay on the track. Driving around on public roads, they don't fare well versus imperfections in the road and ride on the harsher side, even on a softer setting. I'm sure part of this is due to the Fit's suspension design as well.

I actually have a set of BC Racing DS coilovers, specced by Tailored Chassis Solutions, on the way, so I'm excited for that. I also have the TCS top hats which give you additional camber adjustment as well as caster adjustment.

If you want something to simply lower your car and drive around, comfortably, then I would probably recommend Tein. I had the Flex Zs on my GE8 and those rode very smoothly and were perfect for daily driving.

What a great looking GD3, reminds me of my silver sport.
