*Built Fit Motor, build thread*
OOOOOOOKKKKKK well it is 6:30 AM on the dot and i just walked in, YEP i pulled an all nighter, got the motor pretty much ready to drop in. the best part is i did not have one little hickup, every thing went smooth as can be, and the motor spins SOOOOOO free, lol it feels so nice. i'll leave you with one picture before i sleep all day and continue with this firday night.
the turbo is going straight on il be doing break in with the turbo on about 5 lbs then go to the tuner and up the boost to about 15-17 and try to make cloce to 260 whp.
and im sooooo tired lol i stopped working last night at like 6:30 so today ill chill and clean up a lil and my buddy is comin ovev tonight around 6 and we'll push through the night and get her running, my goal is to come to the Orlando fit meet tomorrow night

You gonna take it to a tuner for a retune? or are you gonna just use the tune you've got for breakin?
The tune you've got will probably work, there's not much fueling difference with the .04 liters of extra displacement, but I'll bet it will take a helluva lot more spark advance.
Also, maybe I missed it, what piston-to-wall clearance are you running? Or don't you know?
Also, as if it wasn't obvious, VIDS!!

Gotdammmm! I've been silently stalking this story since you first blew your motor...but now I can't be quiet anymore. This sh** is hot!
How much do you think you've spent on the motor at this point? (not including the price of the new motor.) Basically how much would your total build cost someone else to do to the motor they already have? Not that I can do it...but I'm just curious

OK 300whp...on a fit? I have to ask WHY? doesn't seem like the platform would handle that much power. Why not just buy an STi or an EVO if you want those kind of #s? Seems like for the money you get better bang for buck. I seriously am not trying to hate here just would like to know where your head is at. Is this for track use? Drag strip? Or (and perfectly legitimately) I can do this so I am.
Sure you can go faster for the same money (or less) with an Evo or STi, but would that be nearly as impressive? Fun? Unique? Respectable?
I say no to all of the above.
From what I've seen. Josh here is trying to prove that the L15 is more of a motor than a lot of people (i.e you
) thinks it is
