What you DONT like about your Fit
For the armrest, just buy the central one. Should be cheap and easy to install.
I've been trying to find one, but no luck. The ones on eBay they want a crazy amount. I've been trying to start a WTB thread but I guess I still have restrictions, since I'm rather new to the forum.
2009, 115k miles. The winters here haven't been kind, but not that bad for the age. Replaced the middle muffler and catalytic converter. I do all the mechanical work. Recently repainted the hood and part of the roof supports.
15 years though is old for a car. Hoping it gets me another 3 years, giving me time to save up for the CR-V. Those are 35k new and you save about 9k if they are 3 years old, which is what I'll probably do. EX model though, cause I want those options like heated seats...lol

I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I hate the bumper on my 2008 Sport.
So far I have gone through 3 bumpers and all of them has had their cheap plastic break where it connects to the rest of the car, causing a big gap in the car my OCD does not allow it.
At this point I have given up on fixing the bumper, around 800 bucks spent on fixing it. I'm not going to bother with it.

I don't like the fact that me honda fit was taken by the bank but I have to live with it. I was out of a job for a while and wasn't able to make payments. I know nobody hear knows me or owes me anything but I would appreciate some help in getting back a fit or even just getting back a ride. If anyone wants to help out this is my contact number 18765561906, you can reach out to me.

I was just making a suggestion.
It's up to you to set up your own Go Fund Me account.

The model name. Googling a Honda Fit part just shows me parts that fit on all Honda models. A unique product name is underrated.
The drivers position. The seat sucks but I modified with added lumbar foam under the springs behind the zippers on the back of the seat, washer stack under the front mounts with longer bolts, and a wedge seat cushion. However, the position to the wheel and shifter are just wrong no matter where I move the seat, and I can't see the gauges unless I tilt the wheel way up which makes the steering feel odd at that angle.
Temp gauge. Seriously.
Road noise. Hey, it's a cheap AF car, its amazing how much they got right!

This can be very annoying, but an easy solution is to search for "Honda Jazz" instead. Jazz is the name for the Fit in Japan.
Woofy, then we would have to call ourselves "JazzFreaks" . . . ?
I've only been driving the Fit for about 2 months now and I think the biggest improvement could be better seats. I have a 08 Standard and a 09 Sport. Both of them are good for quick hops around town but I took the 08 on an hour cruise one way and an hour back; I'd say the seats were ok, but about halfway back they seemed to be pretty hard and unforgiving on rough roads.
Another thing is that 1.5L isn't too keen about going up steep hills. It will do it but isn't very snappy about it.If cars are behind you riding your bumper, they'll just have to wait!
I have an Isky Racing Cams sticker on the tailgate as sort of a joke, maybe I should take that off and put a Student Driver sticker on instead?
The paint is another mystery. Mine is red and faded pinkish. I figured no prob, I'll just buff it out but it's like the fade is in the red basecoat, not in the clear coat. Buffing the clear coat does nothing.

First gen. Fit in the USA was 2007-2008. I normally never buy a first gen car but the Jazz was around the rest of the world for about 6 years before Honda decided to bring to USA so it was fairly well sorted out by 2007. The 2009 is second generation. First gen. you are correct, 1600cc and 109 hp. Wimpy with A/T, much peppier with M/T but you have to be willing to rev to 4-5000 rpm to get her to move ok. Spins like a noisy sewing machine on steroids.
2015 MT with 64,000 miles seems to have synchros that are wearing away at an alarming rate (for the mileage). I changed to MTF with Honda OEM, no change. Second almost always grinds and third is almost just as bad. Trans is certainly not dead, but it is not a smooth shifter and my confidence level with the trans is low.

How's your clutch?
