About the seats. I wish the headrest could be adjusted more rearwards. And I wish the passenger seat backrest could be adjusted all the way down towards front for transporting long items.

Seams that 03-07 Accords head rests can correct the problem. I should've at least try them before selling my Accord...

Please let us know if those Accord headrests fit to Fit.

I've seen it done here on the forum. Can't try as my Accord was sold last May.

Where did you get those seat extender rails ?
Please provide website, and/or phone number and that website's description of product?

Anyone else buy seat extender rails?

I think the only thing I am not loving is how harsh the ride is. I am hoping that I can find a set of coil overs that I can control the compression and rebound of the shocks to dial in something more comfortable.

You are right, plus it gets blown all over the road in even low windspeeds.

I am currently averaging 41mpg on a 2009 Fit Sport w/ 80,000 miles.

I traded my 2016 Fit for a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan a couple months ago.
I never realized how "tinny" the Fit was.
Yes, I miss the good gas mileage, but I've just learned to be more careful with my trips.
I'm retired and my hobbies are camping, hunting, and fishing and I wanted something I could sleep in comfortably.
I wanted to easily haul a bicycle, kayak, and stuff like that.

I don't like the wide dashboard and impossibility of finding a sun visor.

2015 Honda Fit.
I'm short. I don't like the wide dashboard. My short arms struggle to clean the very curved and wide dashboard all the way to the windshield. I live in a big city downtown and it gets dusty!
I hate the zillion of micro scratches on the purple eggplant paint.
I hate the impossibility of finding a sun visor that fits.

Hear, hear. 2017 Fit and even the "Jumbo" shade isn't quite long enough to fit well.
If that's the biggest crab I've got about the car, though (had it only about 8 months), that's okay.

That's true of many/most newer vehicles. I've had rentals.... Camry or Corolla, I don't remember which - where the window was sloped back so much that the base of the window at the dashboard was about ten feet in front of me, and the top of the window was up by my forehead. I bumped my head on the doorframe every time I got in and out of the car. An ergonomic nightmare!

I've only been driving the Fit for about 2 months now and I think the biggest improvement could be better seats. I have a 08 Standard and a 09 Sport. Both of them are good for quick hops around town but I took the 08 on an hour cruise one way and an hour back; I'd say the seats were ok, but about halfway back they seemed to be pretty hard and unforgiving on rough roads.

Another thing is that 1.5L isn't too keen about going up steep hills. It will do it but isn't very snappy about it.If cars are behind you riding your bumper, they'll just have to wait! I have an Isky Racing Cams sticker on the tailgate as sort of a joke, maybe I should take that off and put a Student Driver sticker on instead?

The paint is another mystery. Mine is red and faded pinkish. I figured no prob, I'll just buff it out but it's like the fade is in the red basecoat, not in the clear coat. Buffing the clear coat does nothing.

I believe the 2008/9 series only has 109 HP. That went up to 130 HP in 2015. It makes a difference.
As far as the paint goes that could be UV damage. Nothing you can do other than live with it or repaint.

Yeah, I know the first gen is pretty lightweight as far as power, but the good thing is with the manual, 40+ mpg is attainable.

I might to eventually try and find a clean low mile 3rd gen manual and that would be a good ride, depending on the price.

My annoyance has been, switching from a 95 coupe to the Fit, and the width of the A and B pillars. It is harder to see over my left shoulder, when changing lanes, when compared to the 95. The driver side A pillare with the little simulated vent window is hard to see through as well.

The A pillar is my least favorite thing about the GK. A semi can hide behind it.

GD + GE = More blind spots than Stevie Wonder. No kidding. Makes driving pretty tricky.

GD had an engine knocking noise. We were calling it piston slap. Don't know if that was the correct diagnosis. I was unable to break my GD engine, so I'm not sure how serious the noise was.

I've only had it for a week. So far it's how noisy it is inside the car and the armrest attached to the seat.
