I have always hated how getting floor mats wasn't standard, even on the Sport model!

I was thinking of buying an older one that needed some work with a good body a little late in the season now. Saw this one for $2,500.

it was an input shaft issue that mostly affected people who liked to slam gears, right?

something like that, but there was an example of a guy driving normally on a rainy day, tire slipped a little while accelerating over those painted lines at intersections and bang. shattered.

ofcourse no idea how much beating the tranny took prior to that event.

i was always careful not to slam the gears on that car.

I love the wrx in general, it's one of my dream cars. I sometimes regret buying my srt4 instead of one.

Didn't know you're an ex-Rexer. Must've missed it somewhere on your posts. I still have mine and still going through the gears on the original clutch @ 135k.

Yup... Gear slammers and clutch poppers mostly. When it first came out (USA), the car was an odd ball looking sleeper. Then it caught on and because of the car's character, many were trying to make a dragster/quarter mi. car out of it, which it wasn't. Can't remember anymore but I think Subaru issued a TB about it. Never took mine in though. But definitely, the car eggs you on to push beyond driving skills. Many did then a big oops around a tree, hillside or ditch! Just my take...

Now Love my Fit!

I have been thinking about trading in my 2013 Mustang GT Premium for a new WRX 5-door. Gas mileage is pathetic that's really all that's stopping me at this point.

What I hate:

The lack of aftermarket mods available for our sad little 1.5L motor. It's such an amazing car and I love the handling. It is peppy due to the short gearing but with no Si model I would at least like to drop some coin into it and get more power. Sadly that is not a realistic goal.

^there has to be something wrong with that bugeye. $2500 is armed robbery.

tranny issues were also caused by people who launched the car a lot. glass transmissions and shiet. my 03 wagon started giving me problems ~300hp

The worst thing is front seat and leg room. The seat is really low and has a short cushion. Tall drivers do not fit!

Not sure what you're talking about. The seat is high because it sits on top of the gas tank. I'd prefer it lower. It was lower in my EK Civic.

The seat slides back. The steering wheel telescopes. I fit just fine at 6'2". I just wish the shifter were mounted a bit farther back. I just use my fingers to shift instead of my palm.

yah, i bought the bugeye early 2002. had it for about 2.5yrs before i sold it. was a blast, no doubt. learned a lot about tuning turbo's using utec and my laptop, dataloggin and all. it was before the ecu re-flash trend took off.

for me, i wanted to try more displacement vs FI after that since i also had a modded cooper-s at the time (4banger supercharged). so i got the G...

i also had a legacy wagon one point in time. i liked the car but had too may warranty problems i had to sell it and get the 09 GE back in 2008.

Is it true that the windshield wipers have only a single delay for intermittent? That brings me up to 5 things I don't like (and a plethora that I do like).

There have been other posts in this thread that were "solved" by RTFM. Please tell me I simply haven't found the correct page yet.

There is a slow, medium, fast setting on the wipers, that's it I think.

When I put mine on fast the massive force developed by the drivers side wiper rocks the car a tiny bit

Speaking of wipers, I DONT LIKE the aftermarket for replacing windshield wipers.

I found it hard at first when going to stores in attempt to find the right sizes. Its not a common pair of wiper sizes, and I was quickly reminded one day when I went to Jiffy Lube (dont worry, not for an oil change), and one mechanic walks up to me in my car (with oem wipers on) and sais "Hey bro!, you know you have the wrong size passenger wiper on your car, right?"...I then drove away with a face palm.

Thank god I came across the Latitudes', and im never going to use any others.

Haha Jiffy Lube is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes you'll find one with techs that know a thing or two. Generally though, they are the lower bay techs unfortunately an you never talk to them.

I also hate finding wipers. I still have my factory wipers, just clean them well so they haven't dried up yet. I need a rear one though.

If you want to keep the OEM blade holders and save a little money you can just do what I did and order the wiper insert refills from Bernardi Honda. They were just as easy to install as replacing the entire blade assembly. Here's a link:

Honda Fit Parts - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories
Illustration #21 & 23 for front wiper rubber blades

Honda Fit Parts - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories
Illustration #1 for rear wiper rubber blade.
This is shown to be the same length as the smaller front wiper, but it's made a little different, so they're not interchangeable.

It looks like the direct links I posted aren't working, but you can find the rubber blades in the "Electrical/Exhaust/Heater/Fuel" section on the Bernardi Parts website.

Thanks Bama, I was just going to go to the dealership and get them... is the price jacked up enough to warrant ordering online with shipping?
