What you DONT like about your Fit
Not my favorite way to test out how well the AC works. I am hoping it is more similar to yours and not the others who have posted.
I can feel/hear the road irregularities more compared to my civic EG. I don't know if GE's have poor sound deadening or what.
Another thing is the throttle seems to lag or has some sort of delay when you press the pedal.

I am hoping my airplane's A/C is better than the Fit's
NOT DRIVING THIS TIME.I've been through Death Valley, central Nevada, etc with 110+ heat many times in the Fit, it was fine.
Based on three weeks driving my new-to-me 2011 Fit:
1. Weak A/C
2. No gauges
3. No adjustable 'mist' setting for the windshield wiper
4. Leg room isn't great if you're 6'1"
Love the gas mileage though, and the car has a lot of pep for its size.

+1 same here, I feel the AC is great once it's been on for a few mins. Sometimes it does struggle if it's been heat soaked in the sun for hours just open all windows to let heat out and and the AC does its thing very comfortably. I don't have any complaints at all...
I'm going to get my windows tinted soon. I've done it myself on previous cars, but I think I'll splurge and pay for a professional job this time.
Unfortunately, Ohio state law requires no less than 50% light transmission on the front side windows and reflective tint is not allowed at all. It could be worse, though. Before 2004, it had to be 50% all the way around.
... but I don't think I've ever even *seen* 50% tint in auto supply stores. :-/

I hate when you combine the Fits fly by wire, high tempertures, and ac on, the car has no pick up from a stop. You almost have to launch it to get it moving if you are trying to turn onto a faster moving street.
I also do not like the shifter. Its so long for such a small car. So that is my list right now, tint and shifter.
There should be a relay that cuts out the A/C compressor when the throttle is pressed more than halfway, or when starting from a stop. I don't use the A/C much anyway, but I'd be more likely to if it didn't rob so much power.

Here are some excellent tips for beating the summer heat in the Fit. It's pretty much what I do. Again, zero issues for me.

I agree, tint made a huge difference. California allows front window tinting (with at least 70% of visible light). Which really is almost clear. So I did put a clear tint on the front windows that has metallic particles and claimed 50% of heat rejection.
The dark I went with is 19%. Great results. I paid 220 for all windows except windshield.

Really? Mind telling me with of the other compact car shifters you are comparing it to?
I feel it's one of the best feeling shifters. Love feeling it "click" into gear. Honda has always produced great manual transmissions. The Fit is no different.

You mean unlock. Its a feature to keep the other 3 door solenoids from wearing as fast. There is a way to set it so that they all open at once though just search. Personally i dont have a problem with pressing unlock twice when i have passengers or cargo.
I'll compare it to the 2001 toyota tacoma I drove today. That throw felt shorter. I would say a toyota celica gt but I'm pretty sure those come with short shifters. My mach1 stang felt shorter then this guy. LOVE my fit, STILL stoked after 4 months of ownership, but sometimes it just feels like it takes a long motion to go 1-2 or 3-4.

I had a '91 Toyota Truck (pre-name giving) and I think the throw must have been 16" .... LOL
