it's never as efficient when it's cold, just look at ecomodders blocking off their front grill...

Yeah! I mean, I did that a bit on my old 98 Civic, but every time I exit my Fit, I suffer a HUGE shock of static!

Sometime one when I open the door, and another when I close it!

Hahah I remember that. I totally forgot about that static electricity that kept getting me. It's the seat material, I stopped getting that blast once I went to clazzio leathers.

My 2005 Civic got way better gas mileage than my Fit.
Blind Spots take some getting used too.
Maybe I'm just short but the radio/dash is a little hard to reach.
Passengers always complain that I have an arm rest and they do not.
Other than that.. I love it.

My passenger complained once, then I fixed it.
Rebuilt it wider so two arms can use it, neither one of us use it as a lift point so the original mechanism and rest can support two resting arms.
Have heard some people use the armrests to lift themselves until the door plastic breaks.
Also fixed the drivers door armrest with a gel pad from a computer wrist mat.
Only thing that hasn't changed is the reflection of dash in windshield, using a dark
dash mat to reduce it.

I hate the fact our lovely president forced autos to have those damned tpms, just another charge to absorb when you get new tires, and the clear coat is soooooo cheap too, i popped it when i put my sat radio antenna on roof. and that battery is so expensive to replace, can't find that size nowhere.

I love the car, but it could still use a stiffer body, bigger engine, more horsepower and torque, i am 6'9" and have enough head and leg room

What charge when getting new tires? You don't have to replace anything that has to do with the TPMS when you get new tires.

Highway mileage that struggles to break 31 mpg at 80. In fact I find that my city mileage is better than highway.

After 3 weeks ow owning my new Fit:

1. Only 1 power outlet

2. Sunvisor design sucks. When on side window, the back end is a few inches higher than the other end. If the plastic pivot, had the hole at a different angle, it would be fine. If I could find a part number for the pivots, I would buy one and put a bushing in it and redrill at the right angle.

3. No map lights in Base

4. Another inch of ground clearance, would be practical. Already scraped the nose, coming out of a parking lot. I know this must shock all the ground huggers! I like the lowered look (to an extent) but I'm more of a practical person these days.

5. Injector lag, when shifting. When I let off on the gas, I want the engine to respond, now!

6. A lighter colored dash, would absorb much less heat

7. Bigger engine would be nice, for acceleration and mpg. The Civic is heavier, with a larger engine, and gets more mpg! Imagine how the Fit would perform with that engine.

But I still love her!

Sure. you have to replace them, the little o-rings in the valve wear out from the moisture thats in the air you put in, it's a basic rebuild. i avoided the 30 dollar fee at my local tire shop after i complained about having them. I said if i have to replace them i don't want them and just pull the fuse.

No, you don't have to replace them. They will tell you you have to replace them if they're a crappy shop trying to take your money. Go elsewhere.

valve cores are the only thing that could wear out and they're $2 for a set of 4. Easily replaced without removing the valve stem/tpms. You can do this yourself if you find one that has a bad seat. Sure there are gaskets/grommets (I don't think they use o-rings) but these are not likely to ever need replacing out unless you remove the valve stems.

Before TPMS valve stems were rubber and would degrade/crack after a few years causing leaks. It was cost effective to replace them at a couple dollars each when changing tires. TPMS uses metal valve stems. There's really nothing to degrade other than the sender unit which the tire stores aren't touching.

I do wish there was a way to defeat TPMS if you want to do without though (I don't think it's as simple as pulling a fuse; people are putting tape over the damn indicator light). But I think it's a good thing for 80% of the population. Checking tire pressure is a lost art.

Im seeing a lot of complainging about the rear drum brakes.

LONG LIFE
GOOD STOPPING power

2 biggest reasons honda uses them. Quit complaining. disc brakes only have 2 things going for them; better looking and easier to change out.

Ill change to rear disc eventually, but not before I actually need to service the rear brakes at, oh lets say 100k miles.
