I'm on a family rate; 6 people, 5 cars, 4 are over 30, 2 are over 55.
Accident free, ticket free, 5 different discounts, no negative stuff, etc.
I called my agent and demanded more discount and he got me off $10 a month.
So I'm paying $100 a month for the Fit, which I still think it's damn high for a car less than $18,000.
I'll be parting with ALLSTATE very soon. Maybe Progressive or Geico?
What insurance companies are good these days?

house, life, multi-car and some vip discount for citation free, accident free, no-dui, etc. my insurance agent congratulated me for some achievement i got on the clean history a while back. i dont remember what it was called but ive been with them for 25yrs.

my Z and G's insurance are cheap too... sub $280/6months. G was like $215 or something last time.

being responsible and following a plan (my personal plan) has paid off. this isn't the end of the journey either. im going to be getting the next genG-coupe IPL or next gen M3 coupe next.

the only things i really don't like about my Fit is the fact it doesn't have a temp gauge, crappy and cheap feeling interior, seats are uncomfortable for long trips, paint scratches super easily and the lack of after market support. I know you can find stuff for pretty cheap from other companies but it's silly that budget parts aren't out yet.

What I don't like on my Fit is that the paint is defective... and my dealer wouldn't acknowledge the fact that it is... It blemishes easily and scratches easily... . Though I only have this on the front bumper and near the gas lid area, the power steering is very stiff at some point.

The whirling noise in Auto Tranmission for 2012

In idle engine quite, In Gears generated whirling noise. Honda know and want to wait until It give moving problems. Not happy with quality of Honda for a brand new car.

Low power, bouncy suspension, clutch delay valve, seats are crap. Still love the car.

Most the dislikes really 4 (1) no auto headlights, (2) No outside temp gauge, (3) no mute button on the radio or (4) height adjustment was when I initially brought the car comparing it to my old car. Now at 34.8 mpg combined I have adjusted to the lack of these items.

The driver's side rubber door frame seal has split twice, and the seal on the door occasionally pulls off when opening the door in the winter time... Poor design on both parts.

At only 45K the ignition key wore out enough to damage the ignition switch pins... had to have the vehicle towed in for repair.

Aside from that the car gets the job done.

Not being able to manually unlock the rear hatch. There's no remote release lever or key lock. It must be done from the key fob when the car is shut off.

Not having a locking gas cap a standard equipment. After Hurricane Sandy, I had this fear of somebody siphoning my gas or somebody getting spiteful and putting sand, sugar, or something else down my filler neck.

i wish it had all wheel disk brakes especially for the sport. maybe its me but all wheel disk are a good safety feature and they would accent alloy wheels nicely

I have a 2011 orange Fit sport with a 5 speed I have leased. I really like the Fit and there is nothing I really hate there is somethings I dislike or annoy me a little.

- it needs a 6 speed transmission. With the 5 speed sport the fuel economy really tanks at any highway speeds.
- the scrolling function on the radio is horribly slow.
- it doesn't produce the best heat in the winter time.
- the really odd stock sized tires on the Fit sport.
- the stock arm rest location is too high.
- the rear washer nozzle drips whenever I use the front windshield washer.

The positives outweigh the negatives for sure. I consider the Fit maybe the best all round car I have ever owned.

my obc shows mpg is 40mpg+ while on the expressway at ~3.5k rpm in 5th. i think that's more than plenty.

you can use 205/50/16's on the sport wheels with no issue.

I have a 2007 Sport MT and I love pretty much everything about the car except:

I find the gearing is too low for me. At about 50km/h I'm going at or over 3K rpm and releasing the gas I will get compression so I drive in 4th a lot (to get better gas mileage). I wish the throws were longer so I could have my engine revving less @ my cruising speed 50km/h in the city.

My number one peeve is the cabin darkness! I think it's because the beautiful meters are well lit (I keep it about 50-60%) so it breaks my night vision so I can't see anything in the car, AT ALL! Even in the trunk; the little dinky side light is waaay to dim to properly light up the trunk when unloading at night, which I do a lot as a musician. Even the central roof light is so so, I can see why people install map lights.

One of my projects is installing better lighting except I have 0 electrical expertise so messing with the fuse box/electrical wiring is not appealing to me right now!

The fact that my once mint Fit has been in 2 accidents over the past 2 months. Both 100% the other persons fault. People need to learn to fucking drive.

Just get some SMD bulbs. Your car interior will be BRIGHT.

Lack of aftermarket parts which is strange since Honda cars such as the Civic seem to create the customizing craze of imports. Blame it on the economy and low volume of Fit's into the USA. That may change with the next generation aiming to sell 200k in the US but that will depend on what percentage is hatchbacks compare to sedans and CUVs.
