the fit is quite slow, and don't like the throttle by wire.

The torque is weak. I knew this before I bought it, but the cabin noise and the thin paint surprised me. The paint on my 1994 Accord is more durable than the one in the Fit. Maybe it's because they switched from solvent to water based paint??

I don't like that I don't have a heat gauge. I know that the dashboard will "alert" me if there are problems with overheating, but I have never been very trusting of those sorts of things. I would like to be able to monitor those things myself too. I just got my Fit (2008) last week, so there are bound to be a few more issues that I find. So far it is the best car I have EVER driven!

Seat are uncomfortable
Stereo is horrible
Clutch Delay Valve is a PITA!
Rear Drum Brakes
RPMs at highway speeds with manual

The list of likes are long however! I love my Fit!

Paint quality but thats common for most cars today, noise on the highway but I barely drive on the highway and usually just turn up the music, not a fan of the clutch because lack of feel. I test drove a 2012 Civic Si and that clutch is strange compared to the Fit! The travel was so short and the clutch was heavier but I loved it. Not relevant but was going to trade it in for the Si but they only wanted to give me $8000 for it even after the other sales person told me they sold one just like mine for $14K! $6000 in profit for putting a for sale sign on it no thanks.

Just a one day owner so far...

Seats are too low. Is it possible to raise the rascals?

The arm rest is too high. Does the oem arm rest offer a lower
arm rest?

You can put some wahers under the seat. A few of us have put them just under the front to get a more comfortable rake. Try 3 to start. I reduced mine to two after awhile.

One of my problems is that I have no idea were the hood ends

I can't see any hood at all, my forward vision ends where the windshield
meets the dash. Tain't clear where the front end is... I am still
leaving about 4 feet in pull in parking.

You could try a different approach.

Instead of trying to gauge how far an object is to the front end of your car... try to visualize how far YOU are from whatever you are pulling up to. And another point of reference you can use... the bottom of the windshield, where the wipers are.

99.999999999% of the time I back in (damn you angled parking). I don't see the point of just driving in to a parking space ( unless its angled).

It's no fun... after having backed into a space and doing some shopping... when you come out, needing to load things in through the hatch, but some huge front end vehicle pulled right up to the back of the Fit... preventing you from opening the hatch.

I have the worst luck.... actually, I call it an idiot magnet. No matter what I do, idiots come flocking to me.

If I park far off by myself, some huge SUV will park next to me and jam one of my doors (or the hatch)... even if I parked in the middle of the sunniest spot and there are tons of shaded spaces available closer to the mall or whatever.

If I drive in the fast lane, some guy speeds up and cuts me off and slows me down. If I drive slower in the slow lane... some other idiot will do the exact same thing to me again!!!

Look out the side window, instead. Just get a feel for the position of the side mirror in relation to the end of the parking space from your point of view.

Things I dislike but have adjusted for on my Fit:

(1) No outside temperature reading
(2) No mute button on radio
(3) No auto headlights
(4) Doors do not automatically unlock besides the drivers door when you turn off the car

#2 I just use the power button

#4 you can set the locks so that all doors unlock when you turn the car off. It's in the owner's manual. I did it to mine the day I got it.

Auto headlights would be nice, they're good for tunnels.
