Agree completely on the a pillars, it's a shame they can't make them thinner.

it is a huge blind spot. ive mentioned this many times too not just for the GK but also for GE... but the GK's is just massive.

its the worst in packed parking lots / streets with lots of pedestrians. at one point it hid an entire garbage truck approaching diagonally towards me.

I've come to the conclusion that the A-Pillars are the most tangible, real "defect", or real thing I don't like with the Honda Fit.
All the other things?
Are just kind of nit-picky, minor things, that I think you find a percentage of with any vehicle.
But the Honda Fit A-Pillars are tangibly just pretty bad.

glass nearly falling out of the door frame, huge rattle sound during start up (vtc), and flaking paint is hardly nit-picky minor things..

You do realize those are all YOUR personal experiences and not mine?
And judging from most posts in this thread....not a lot of people have had those problems.

I can't stand the trunk latch on this car. It's all cheap plastic and now mine has cracked all the way through. I don't know why Honda made the handle so fragile.

The original owner of my car apparently didn't know that, because he cracked it too.

You know what I mean... the plastic piece covering the rear hatch latch as well as the latch itself are both very fragile.

Yes I know what you mean and not trying to be a smart ass but it's not a handle. There is a cutout on the inside edge of the hatch on the right side that's meant to be used. Has the additional benefit of not getting your hand dirty while closing the hatch.

After driving a friends 300,000 mile Cummins Dodge with a trailer, NOTHING! I LOVE the Fit. It's so light, nimble, responsive, fast, quick-shifting and easy. The truck was numb, shuddery, slow, had a rubbery difficult shifter, is hard to place in the lane being so wide.

Sometimes we just need a reminder.

the driver seat ..
it lost the support really quick , I already stuff a 5mm foam pad at the back and bottom + a towel to sit on

but something I cant fix is the sitting position never fit .. if my arm and height is good .. my leg feels tool close to the paddles ..
when my leg is good .. I sit a bit too far and low fm the wheel..

Are you talking about a rowing boat with paddles?

I hate that you can't fit a full-sized spare tire without keeping the back flat....

I have the heat shield rattle too, I'll be taking care of that annoyance soon. Only other thing I don't like is no dead pedal, pretty stupid design flaw to omit something even a Yugo had lol. And in the 08' they should have added steering wheel audio controls, my 07' Civic, and 08' Kia Sedona have it. And DEAD PEDALS!!!!! Otherwise I love this car!!!

Agree on the dead pedal.

They used to be available from zeta. That plus a JDM center console with armrest were two of the first things we added to our '08. Was a huge improvement.

depends on how people see it, but engine noise when hard acceleration.
buzzy and or loud. maybe aftermarket exhaust would help. i know that it is common with small displacement 4 cyl.
could sound deadening materials help and where would you put it.

thanks
