Love mine too

I love mine too but, this static shock deal is killing me.

It is very dry here, especially this time of year and, I swear, one of these days I am going to set off the alarm just touching the car.

I wish my Fit had more power and mpg aka Honda Civic HX, which gets 40+ mpg.
And yes, I'd like more back seat knee room.

but i agree. its also just style, its cool.

i love my fit, but one thing that kinda gets me sometimes,

i worry about the front end, even though it is short compared to others, and i have owned cars like an old school mini, so its nothing. Point being, when i park or whatever, it seems like the front is so long and worryful, but when backing into spots, its like nothing, since the back end is so short (or seems like it)

does anyone understand what i meant?

1) Carpet.
2) Seat material (so I changed it)
3) Gas mileage - I figured for a little more it should reach the sticker rating if not more.
4) No nuts - for no less gas mileage than I imagined, I would hope for more power.
Oh well.

Radareclipse,
I really love those blue details you put on the seats and doors! Is the blue the only new fabric part or did they cover over the black too? How much did all that set you back if I may ask?

I agree the fabric leaves a bit to be desired..I also don't like the spongy feel of the seats, reminds me of the "nasa" foam mattress material you see in malls.

I wish it had a turbo diesel option (like what they're going to put on the TSX)

Custom from scratch but the fabricator followed the stock pattern. The whole thing is italian suede "Alcantara brand". It cost thousands..... I saw a few cars done with some different designs and I said I have to have it. So much for adding 30hp for now. I had already done the exhaust and intake thou.

heehee, I just read the entire thread. I don’t want to be a bad guy, but people do realize that the purpose of the Fit is to be in base a cheap economy car. Half of the complaints could have been solved simply by buying a new Civic EX instead of a Fit. If you added the features into the Fit that people list out then you would be paying for it ($20K). The other quarter of them seem to just be out of place for the purpose of the car, such things as "more power" and such, again even a Civic EX or Si at $22ishK could have fixed. The last quarter are things I call "typical" Honda which I have seen as a staple of Honda as a person who’s owned 12 of them now. Those don’t surprise me, I can reference several Honda models I’ve owned in the past that had the exact same issue (such as the rear wiper, 2nd gear jump, foot rests, center consuls, etc). Then theres that very small percentage that I think "why did they even buy the car, what were they thinking" (like the guy who said he wanted V8 torque, any Honda owner can kinda laugh at that one).

Ill end by saying that I have been involved in each and every community of car owners for the model I have owned and the complaints are no different and any less numerous for those models. Hell, the IS forums are full of people complaining about those and that feature on the IS and many of the same things as I ready here (like paint).

My Fit should be in any day at my dealer and I do now exactly what I’m getting into and probably will never complain about it because I think I have a proper expectation of what kind of car 16K buys today and the Fit is as usual a Honda bang for the buck.

I actually think the Fit's horn is great! It doesn't sound cheap at all. One of my coworkers heard the beep when I hit the lock button on my remote, and she noted that it seemed loud. I likey very much!

I bought my Fit in March to drive to work and back, it is VBP base model with automatic transmission. It has over 5000 miles already and getting over 35 mpg.
My only complaint is I have a 3 year old and he likes to play with the poer window switch. On my Fit if I lock out the window controls it also locks out the main switches on the driver door except the driver window.

No dead pedal, will order one from zetaproducts.

No armrest, will order the JDM console.

No remote gas door release. This is my 4th Honda and this is the first time I've ever seen a finger flip gas door on one.

TPMS, will eventually remove the bulb.

And finally, I don't like the green illuminated switches on the driver door when everything else is blue. I'll probably change the bulbs/leds.
