I don't see many other options besides changing the seats out or adding foam to the existing side bolsters. I'm sure you could get an upholstery shop to do that, but at what cost? IDK. Could probably pay for seats by that time.
hahahaha! well, if the functionality is superb enough to forget its drawbacks, that's good!

yah, i think the quickest way would be to swap out the seats. but the rails adapters might be hard to find. i know some folks fabricated their own adapters. i dont have a torch.

Yes, that should be correct.

It wouldn't hurt giving them a call, i'm sure they can guide you through slider selection as well, because I think they have sliders in too. You'd just need to know which seats you wanted to get.

had a sore throat and thought about calling in sick, but then i wanted to drive my GE so came to work anyway. lol really enjoying this car. car is showing im doing about 31mpg. not bad.

will fuel up on the way home. im glad i pressued up the tires over the past weekend cause it's like 50F this am and tires felt 'normal' in these colder temps.

It wont work.

The 09+ TPMS systems dont send a signal to the ECU unless the TPMS (car's tires) is rotating above 20mph (or 28mph?)... Your only options are tape over the light, or get another set of TPMS sensors for the winter set.

^^ hey thanks for the info. i'll just install the ones i remove from the stockers
then in the rota's.

decided to take a quick spin for lunch today and also bought my GE a drink as well. been pushing the car pretty hard and it's responding well. so far even with a fairly hard launch, vsa has not disrupted my driving... so i suppose not having tpms (not being able to turn off vsa) is not going to be much a problem for me for summer wheel set.

You must have some smooth roads where you are b/c whenever I launch on bumpy roads the VSA flashes like a strobe light (my 09 has the Navi package which has the VSA). On smooth dry roads no problems I'm also on DWS's. Haven't seen much snow since I put them on but in the rain those tires are GREAT! On the stockers, I had to disable VSA several instances to rock myself loose from the snow.

On my other set I just got another TPMS set, and am in the process of getting the ATEQ Quickset which will pay for itself in no time...

^^sounds good. im hoping that the DWS are as good as everyone says it is in the snow. im not expecting WS60 (snow tires) performance but i would like to have at least 1/2 of wat real snow tires can do.

i suppose the roads in my area are pretty good considering ive been having to dodge all the damn construction in the area. hahaha. a lot of the roads are nice until snow/salt hit it. in the spring we have to play not hitting the pothole game.

cool the tail lamp overlay thingie came in to tame down the white/chrome look.

hope to install it tomorrow after motoring my 370Z. this will be the last item i will install on my GE for now (other than the winter wheel set). i will have to deal with the seats somehow... i think im going to play with the recline a tad as hootie suggested.

TGIF, ms.blackcherry!

yah, we got the new washing machine and drier and the guys that did the install did a great job, i think. i was watching but not sure what they were doing other than attaching some hoses and duct. i removed the door leading to the utility room before they came so they were happy about that.

hope you get that HU installed soon. goodluck with the garage wiring project. have a great weekend too.

goodPM everyone hope everyone's having a great saturday. motored my Z this am and was a great relaxing drive. temp was at 60F and perfect for a light jacket window-down drive.

so i installed the smoked tails today. the cutout wasn't that great so required some stretching and some forming, but not too bad. i just used water this time.

after getting the tint attached, i suggest loosening the 3 nuts holding the lamps to the car. just pop off the cover in the trunk and loosen using a 8mm combination wrench. then wrap the excess into the nook. the trunk side requires some cutting, but it's easy to cut.

will take more snaps later. it's out in the sun drying.

goodAM everyone. the tint film on the tails are drying up real nicely. will need another few weeks to fully cure but already getting many compliments. really finishes up the car nicely.

motored the Z this am again. a few confused sob's but that's expected in some areas of town. lol had a great time. QD'ed afterwards. spot cleaned the GE using SprayOn CarWash. im expecting rain tomorrow and the GE's are looking pretty clean so no wash today.

the new washing machine is pretty good, i think. it's the first front loading one we bought so not sure if it's good or better or wat not, but the reviews are showing 4.5 starts out of 5 so. washed my car towels yesterday.

drove the GE to work today. t-storm expected. i hope the landscape vandals come and finishd their job today so that i can motor my G to work tomorrow.

i found a fairly large bubble in the driver side tail over lay this am. hummmm... not sure how it got there since it wasn't there while drying. lol i think the area surrounding the bubble dried and found a small airpocket where all the fluids started migrating into or something. anyway, i will not be touching it cause it will eventually evaporate. the worst thing to do is start poking at it or force water out. just be patient and it will eventually clear up. i speak from experience.
