luckily today my customer about 50min away called me to bring in some
stuff for him so i took my FitS for a nice spin. was nice cause i haven't
been out motoring for the last 2+ wks due to weather and this xmas
shopping ordeal. lol

it was nice and dry outside so at least i had some fun actually motoring
the car and not sliding left/right on ice. (although that is kinda fun at times).

looks like we got some serious snowage coming tonight into tomorrow am...
not sure if im going to be able to make it to work.

yah, in this snowage and sleetage i made it to work... it was kinda
smooth the first 50-99% of the commute till the last 1% where some
anus snow truck plowed the main highway but left the plowed
snow IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAMN INTERSECTION causing cars
like mine to get stuck. mine barely made it over the snow.

then you got these damn awd folks driving like crazy nearby thinking
they are all mighty. well, truth is, you're not cause you're driving like
2ft from my car which appears to be going straight, but my steering
wheel is cocked 15-25degrees to the left, my throttle is disconnected
to the ground like some frikken AT slush box and never know when the
car would loose complete control going up a slight grade due to the
infamous shitty ziex912's. HAHAHAHAHA!

in all honestly, the Fit does pretty well for its size and weight imho
in the snow. i remember my CivicHB (2000) was the same way
in this weather, if not worse. falken should send us all thank you
letters (or get well letters for the unfortunate) driving on their tires.

well, have to thank my FitS for doing the dirty work
while my G and MINI are hibernating in the garage
sparkling clean and salt free.

not sure about the legacywgn. been asking it to die
but now it's working like new after my fix a few months
ago. no problems wat so ever... it did lots of
misfires, SES after the dealer did the 30k maintenance.
so went back and i pretty much re-did their work.

Ohh boy today on my way to work at 6:30 this morning roads were really rough we had at least 5 inches of snow in the middle of the road and my fit turned into a little snow plow. The car handled great in the snow for spinning the wheels the entire 10mile trip. The only issue I had is I try to gun it through a deeper spot and almost high centered the car.

^^ yah... this morning in my case some dust of snow actually came over the
hood like when you hit deep water. it was insane.

this evening my car sounded like crap each time i accelerated. seems like
snow got caught between the midpipe and heatshield, froze while parked at
work. it rattled LOUD each time i hit the gas. wasnt sure wat was going
on at first but after a good 20min or so it melted off the car. in fact, all
the snow on top of my car slid off when i took a quick turn. that's kinda fun.

kinda cold today at a high of 4F or something. dang... brrrrrrrr... anyway,
i went to the music store yesterday anticipating this frikken weather today
to upgrade my 7yr old keyboard with a new one.

had both the rear seats flat and had to scooch the passenger seat
forward but it fit with much room to spare.

im super glad how my ride is so butter smooth with the EnduraTechs
cause going up this one expressway is like driving over a bumpy washboard. lol
dont want my brandnew instrument feeling all the bumps.

yah, i was outside today defrosting my legacywgn cause my wife braved
the cold to go to the supermarket. it was friggen cold... the wind that is.
the wind made a mound of snow infront of our porch about 2ft high
and on the driveway so had to shovel it first. the snow was like powder.

im welcoming 25F right about now.

Lol good luck with the washing thing. I don't think you will be able to wash your car until spring. I am guessing this winter is going to be one for the record books. It wasn't even technically winter until this past Sunday and we already have had 14+ inch of snow and are expecting another 10 today.

omg Ken I envy you. Fantom's are expensive as hell. That's not just a keyboard, that's a powerhouse...

I was thinking of a Yamaha X50 or Roland Juno-G digital or SH-201 analog synth. I want to upgrade my $200 Yamaha keyboard with a synth so bad...or at least a midi keyboard ;P

yah, im not sure how many inches we've had, but my shoveled
snow is now taller than my kids so it's pretty deep. we got some
nasty heavy stuff today.

thanks, yah that's a FantomG8. the first one that i originally got last
weekend was a defect (digital noise problem that several people had
the same issues on) and so today i took it back for a new one from a
more recent build date. been playing it for the last 5-6 hrs off and on.
seems like this one's ok. store was real nice to help me out.

RolandUS wasn't much help... i called their customer service and
the inexperienced young punk on the other end said 'sounds like a
service issue, but i gig with mine all the time with no issue. sounds
like yours might be defective'

im like orly?!

anyway, the FitS has been GREAT to help me carry the 80lbs monster
back and forth the last few days. i dont look forward to moving that
thing any time soon.

going to get heavy rain tomorrow... with 20-30mph winds. i call this natural touchless wash. hope my FitS enjoys the non-salty water.

... that is going to suck cause it most likely will freeze over again after it rains. That means all the snow is going to turn into rock hard blocks and everything is going to be icy so it will be busy for me at work....

yah, this morning we had a poweroutage for about an hr but it was enough
to get me into the basement to check the sump well. glad the water level was
still pretty low. the retention pond behind my house is about 60% full.

flood warnings everywhere. today is a good day to stay home.

nice day out today, kinda cold, but i got a chance to clean the wheels a little
bit to inspect if the rusty color was dirt or rust. my DRAG wheels are seriously
pitted and rusting on the polished lip area from all the road salt. terrible quality.

i suppose next spring i'll prime it real good, sand down to a nice clean base,
and then paint them gunmetal... the gunmetal spokes appear to be holding
up pretty well.

it reminded of those bicycle wheels you see parked outside trainstations in
japan with all the pitted rust.

Guys, im a new owner of a taffta white 09 FitSport AT.

yep, sold the legacy and got this today. now i got 2 FitSports.

several weeks ago i made a one year follow up post regarding my 08FitSport.
I noted in that post that my car had several shortcomings in stock form and
my conclusion was that i would not buy the same car if mine got into an accident
or wat not.

the 2009's have majority of the shortcomings taken care (less ambient temp)
and being it being an AT, i dont really care where the tach is.

it's got map lights, vanity mirror, muffler finisher, nice telescoping steering wheel,
nice 16" alloys, cool door handles, etc. etc. everything i want in a dd. this one my
wife will use most of the time. im glad she liked it too. the white is an awesome
color for the Fit.

so far it's got a/s floor mats, the nice center arm rest thingie. will pickup
the locking gas cap, cargo cover's order is already placed through collegehills,
snow wheelset was also placed today through my favorite tire store, TireRack.

Edit: I will be getting new wheels/tires for my 08 come spring to replace my cheezo
rusty DR21's.

CONGRATULATIONS!

My wife and I were down on the '09 Fit until we got to see and sit in a Sport. Major improvements over the '08...and we love our '08.

I know you've had your Enduratech's for a while, but can you remember how the '08 ride quality was stock? If so, how does the '09 compare?
