tork- LOL! but i think i know wat you mean by that snow melt crap they
use on the roads. good to hear your driveway's still good to go.

well, i had my first incident with my hobby car... took him over to the
emissions to get that bogus OBD2 scanned but while doing so, i managed
to f-king scuff a curb inside their lot. SHITOLA! you know how some
places have a little curb sticking out to go around fire hydrants and
stuff? well, i gracefully hit that with a nice scuff.

i placed an order to Tirerack to get a replacement BBS and tire
(Dunlop SportMaxx) this am. i scuffed it pretty bad... their curve is tall
and i tore paint off half up the spokes. anyway, i didn't have a spare
for my MINI so it'll serve it's purpose.

will get some Wurth silver paint and fix it in the spring.
Wurth BBS Color Match Alloy Wheel Paint

i got quite a bit of wheel painting projects this spring...

TOOL- thanks for the support. yah, i got my tracking# so by tomorrow this time my
car shall be cured...

so today, instead of washing my MINI (can't drive it enough to get the water
out of the nooks and crannies without dirtifying it again with salt) i used my
Griot's SprayOn CarWash. turned out real nice. it was about 32F inside the
garage and it didn't freeze. it will keep it nice and dry until i can do a
real wash come Spring.

yet. man, this year has really started out with a sour taste.

i need that package to fix my car!

hey, looks like average temps are going to be in the mid 30F's by next week.
spring's around the corner!

is it saturday yet?

this week's going by real fast. so fast didn't even have time to log onto FF yesterday. haven't done much, just working and just hanging out in my music room.

after driving my MINI the other day, i keep thinking
there's 6th gear on the FitS and have to remind myself
not to push the stick into reverse while going 45mph .
still wish the shift lever was another 1" longer though...

using my 15% off keycode, got a gallon of CarWash, a tube of metal polish, and disposable gloves from Griot's yesterday.

should be arriving shortly. since i have a ton of supplies
left from last year, i hope this will be the only thing i need to
buy for 2009's detailing season.

i will need to put quite a bit of effort in my wheel repairs though....
(effort, not money).

It is almost warm enough to have a beer in my 'bent wheel collection room' (the attic above the garage, hey it is nice I installed lighting) sorry about your wheel. Next set of wheels, I am getting 5 and getting it over with. "But sir we only sell them in sets of 4, that all your car needs sir"
In your music room, do you play an instrument, or just jump from one piece of furniture to the next while playing air guitar?

Long time guitar player, plus some keyboards and bass here,
name an artist that is somewhat close to your style of playing and writing.

hey, got both FitS's washed today. looks excellent...well, almost. i need to
get new wheels to replace those Drag DR21 pos rust rings they call wheels. lol

i checked the condition of the EnduraTech's. from wat i could see from the
back of the car, the coilovers were not corroded at all. it had the nice brassy
looking threads and the seats were nice and silver color. shock casing looked
top notch.

got stuck with frikkin last minute errands last night...
needed to hit 2 stores in 1.5hrs before supper thanks
to the wife taking a looooong arse nap.

i pulled out my FitS and swiftly ran my grocery shopping...
while having fun driving it. im so glad i got rid of that
BORING 06CivicEX sedan AT 2yrs ago. i wouldve probably
gotten pretty pissed having to have to go in that.
