Yeah, I was going to buy a Vivid blue pearl at first but then I saw a photo of the blackberry pearl and knew I had to have it. I still think the blue ones are fabulous, though.

Just got back from the Houston Auto Show and there were 2 GE8 sports on display. One BBP, the other BSP. On the way I seen a MR GE8 sport, when I got to the car there was an OR GE8 sport parked by me, and on the return trip spotted a VBP base and a MR GD3 sport.

So 4 GE8s and 2 GD3s.

New Fits

Our town of 18000 here in New Mexico...up until last Aug., had only 3 Fits. But in recent months/days, the number is really growing. I have counted 8 of them recently, but there may be more. It is the perfect car for running around town, but also there are many people here making commutes of 25 - 60 miles per day (one way), and perfect for that.

The orange Fit is very popular here. Yesterday I was at my dealership for an oil change, and they had lots of Fits on the lot. What a change from last Aug., when you could not find one anywhere.

I think someone around here has bought a MR GE8 sport because this is the third time I seen that same or similar car passing by my house.

I saw not one, not two, but THREE Fits today!!! I saw a lovely Vivid Blue Pearl by Lake Merced, a sleek Storm Silver Metallic by Starbucks, and then another Storm Silver Metallic by Lake Merced, just about in the place where the Vivid Blue Pearl had been.

Did someone have a meet today?

I felt like the fat butt GE compared to the GDs.

Please, PLEASE HONDA!!! Don't keep making the Fit larger and Larger And LARGER.

I saw an Asian guy in a GD3 SSM base getting a ticket today.

Poor Fit. It looked embarrassed.

I walked past a stock base VBP GD3 today at the supermarket. It's actually the first time I've been able to get a good look at a Fit up close. The space in the rear hatch was smaller than I imagined. Did they increase it for the GE8? I definitely like the size of the car though, can't wait to get one.

Yesterday I seen 3 GD3s. Two sports, the first being BOM and the other was SSM. Then I passed a base that was either Lunar Mist or Tidewater Blue, but I'm thinking it was Lunar Mist.

Yesterday I saw 2 NHBP Sports, a BOM Sport and a GE8 red base. Seeing the 2009 red base Fit just reminded me of how different they are from my 2008, and how happy I am that I got my car before they were all gone!

It's just such a different car, not the same thing, and the redesign does not please me. I would not want one if I were buying a new car. As good as they still are, the aesthetics just don't appeal to me.

The size increased a small amount. Don't be fooled by the exterior, because it's bigger inside. LOL! There are threads about it here. And it's mentioned in reviews. It appears to be a small car, until you get inside and start USING the space.

What is it that you plan on using the space for?

Moving, lol. I may not even need a moving van if I can fit most of my stuff in there!

I was just taking note because I was thinking if my groceries would even fit in the back. Of course I know space won't be a problem with the folding seats. For such a small car, it still has a hell of a lot more space than my Camry.

heh heh... Last week, I had in the back of the car at one time: six 40lb bags of salt, a 20lb propane tank, 12 inch Delta drill press (in the box), Hitachi belt/drum sander (in the box), suitcase, car seat, briefcase, and a whole bunch of crap and the front seat was still empty and everything was below the window line. There's more room than one would think. Right now I have two 4x8 sheets of plywood inside the car, with room for three to sit down.

Okay, the plywood is cut into six 30x48 inch pieces. -snerk-

On Topic: Today, I saw not one but 8 GE8's at the same time. I had to take my baby in for a new O2 sensor and the dealer had 7 Sports, one Base. The lone base was silver, and they had one MR. The rest were either black or silver. Now that gas prices are below $2.00/gal, they're having a hard time moving them.

I did see a VBP GD today, but they didn't wave back.

So only two SSM sports today. The first was a GD3 at the intersection of 523 and 288B, I would have waved but I was playing F1 driver on the way home. Then there was a GE8 coming down the Alvin/Rosharon overpass on 288 right as I exited.
