went to the dealer yesterday and they had a whole window with list of people waiting

 

hell yea I saw that too rite in the back of the manager

 

Gosh, is this turning into another Mini with a 3 year waiting list?? All I can say is, I feel for all of you...

 

yep crazy list.. and it keeps getting longer.

 

I wonder if he erase mine name they look like they wont try hard to get me a car

 

funnie, cause that guy danny had my names written on a piece of paper at his desk. he pulled it out while i was there.. it was hanging in front of his face... then he another piece with ur name

 

Got a call today from the sales manager. He put in my order on Tuesday and said it went through with no problems. He didn't seem too sure that it will really happen from the sound of his voice on my answering machine. He said he'll keep me posted if anything changes.
Now for the bad news... AUGUST DELIVERY!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!
Anyone had troubles with the dealer not getting what they order when the order goes through?

Then I woke up to 80 degree weather, took a motorcycle ride, hit 100 mph on the highway for a second and all my troubles were forgotten.

Now to wait.

Must be nice to be a Fit salesman right now. Imagine your boss comes in and says "We just got our monthly quota of four Fits delivered today, we need those off the lot by months end!".

Answer: "No problem, I'll get right on it".

If Honda spends more than $1,000 nationwide advertising the Fit they are idiots. Better yet, imagine being the advertising exec in charge of advertising the Fit. Bet he won't have a problem at year's end showing what a genius he was getting the entire 2007 model year allotment of U.S. Fits sold at MSRP and above.

My dealer, who does not answer e-mails (can't blame him) wanted $750 over MSRP on a MT Sport. If it was the color I wanted, I'm ashamed to say I would have bought it. They're part of a large dealership extending into the DC-Baltimore metro area, so I can't really blame him because in that neck of the woods, they're getting even more above MSRP.

I'm somewhat peeved at Honda though for allocating such a small number of Fits to NA and NOT giving us a Civic HB as an alternative. I've got two Hondas and two Mazdas. If come end of September there's not a Sport MT Fit available at MSRP I will not be getting a non-hatchback Civic, that's for sure. I hope there will be some decent deals on end of model year Mazda3 hatches then.

 

I'm on a waiting list and supposedly should be getting my VIN# today or tomorrow. About the waiting lists. I know my name is on several lists. So even though your dealer has a long list, most likely the customer has his name on several other waiting lists. So as soon as he/she gets theirs, the lists get smaller.

 

Ordered my fit sport, silver, MT on 4/28. It came today (5/26). Can't pick it up until Sat but am going to check it out tonight.

 

I put a deposit on Storm silver LX on april 13th, was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks....still nothing. The dealer told me it SHOULD be arriving from now to June 15Th !!!!
Damn, i can't wait anymore.....3 years ago it was the same story with my Element.....Ill post as soon as i get it!!!

 

Location? City/dealership would be great.

 

I'm in Montreal, Quebec and the dealer is Hamel Honda in St-Eustache.

 

good news for me john eagle honda just called me today taht my car will be here jun 10 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa orange auto I think wow I'm so exited

 

Do You now what your cars build date was? I am curious about how long it will take after build date to get a VIN#. I read somewhere else on fitfreak that it could be as short as a week.

 

I'm waiting for John Eagle to get my car in also, they said sometime between 5/27 & 5/31. My wife talked to them yesterday & the car was supposed to be in Cleburne, TX Southwest of Dallas waiting on a train.
