Did the kit come with t-bolt clamps? if not then i would suggest going with those. They are solid clamps and should provide you with worry free driving.
BTW, glad to hear everything went well. Wish i could of gotten out to see the car but the lawn was calling my name

Ya, I may invest in some new clamps.. I need to get some heat/header wrap to protect a couple things.. I figure you can't be too cautious..

Haha yeah he just might. For t bolt clamps I recommend Princess auto as they are the cheapest for price in town and they are as good as the ones at MOPAC.

With that said all his pipes have bead rolled ends so nothing should blow off at 6psi.

If you find you need to retighten them often, it is definitly worth it. I had tbolts on my civic and nothing every came loose.

It makes me feel a bit better for sure... I didn't fall to the "darkside" lol.. When I visited Oscar Jr. and got a tour of the KW/Skunk2 facility I was sold on their kit.. they are running a really good operation there, and I think they are just too overloaded with work and possibly under staffed to keep up with the demand.

It does suck tho for those who went KWSC initially.. I saw some cool new things they were working on, and those things would make the kit run better and fit better.

I'm more than happy with the T1R kit.. I simply love it. I haven't opened her up too much yet.. but I will soon.. very soon.. but the power at 1/2 throttle is pretty strong... it really pulls around 3-3500 rpm all the way to redline

I think every aftermarket part will always have some querks to them.. with such a big mod like FI you have to expect to run into some fitment issues or whatever.. The only problem with the KW kit is that there doesn't seem to be much support for the problems from KW. I've called Ben @ AJ-R a few times since and during the install and he was super helpful.

About the latest problem with the KW kit.. like Justin's filter.. I think KW is going to be releasing the FMIC with the kit which will relocate a few things (maybe even the filter). This is kinda what turned me away from the KW kit... 3500 for the base kit, plus 995 for the hondata, plus ~200 for the highboost pulley/belt, plus ~500 for the FMIC, and add another 500 for shipping/brokerage/duty.

What does that make??? a SC kit that will run you about 6-7 grand after you get gauges and install! I spent about 4500 for all my stuff...

Adam's away for a few days but I can answer this. He did have to remove the pan and tap itfor his return.

The turbo is only oil cooled and the feed is running off the oil temp sensor on the front of the block all the way to the turbo.

tapping oil pan > relocating a/c and brake lines

Thanks ET for answering that Q for me

I'm in Minneapolis for work this week, but I have internet access now in my room..

Man, as gross and bad White Castle is for you its like a drug! I'm on my 8th slider already! hahaha.. I love these out east business trips!

Hey, ET... I noticed that my oil return line is rubbing on my passenger drive shaft.. I really need to fix this.. I tried to yesterday, but no one was open unfortunately..

I think I am going to attempt to replace the hard oil return line with a braided line or something that is made better than the one that AJ-R made...

if you replace it with a stainless line you may need some earl fittings with specific bends already in them as stainless does not bend very well.

Any chance of slighly bending the hard line that comes with the kit and is it rubbing when the car is back on the ground, cause it didnt look like an issue with the car lifted.

I just got an email from Ben, he said to try to bend the hard line.. I think that is the best way to try to fix the problem.

There is about 2" space when the car is lifted, but once its lowered back to the ground it is practically touching.. I would say less than 1cm clearance..

I'll have to see what I can do when I get back.. but in the mean time, my fiance isn't gonna drive the car while I'm not there... just incase..

Guys..... I was out driving around tonight! My car feel freaking awesome Everything is feeling great and the power is coming on stronger than ever now, the engine really does feel more smooth and quiet with synthetic, I wasn't expecting it to be that noticeable.

Admittedly I have nothing for power in 1st gear still; it almost feels too short to be honest. It is more responsive than before in the low RPM with the pulley in, but seems to whip up with lots of noise but no real go. Now second is magical, I am really feeling some serious pull between about 40-80km and third is just as great. Lov'n the new shifter too, feels solid.

Can't wait to verify some of this on the Dyno, maybe at the track on the 29th too? I don't think I have the tire tread left for any AutoX though. Hmmm, maybe I can borrow some slicks lol

Anyway, just wanted to share. I feel like I am just walking away from cars when I put some throttle into it right now. I have had a few junker civics with ghetto mods pull up beside me when I am driving and I can hear them accelerating but I just put a little gas into it and my car sails away (at the speed limit of course). Is nice

Happy to hear that Nick and I should now have a wrench that will enable the other pulley swap whenever you're ready. Jon is away for a few days so let me know if you need anything done in the next week or so.

New intake manifold come in yet?

Hey ET, when can you help me tear down my car? I'm still waiting on that offer, but once I get it (hopefully early next week), I can start to put her back to stock...

Hey great news, once I have the manifold in hand I will give you a shout. PM me your cell when you have a chance!

haha, as far as the manifold goes they are shipping it to Justins house to avoid customs charges on it Not sure when it will be here... maybe next week?

Hey ET, is it better to use my current tires or my stock rims for the Dyno?

Stock rims for sure, smaller diameter and less weight should help. You should already have my cell I pm'd it to you like 2 weeks ago on here.

Will pm it again in a couple mins.

Justin I am available this weekend and probably a portion of next weekend (long weekend) so pm me when ready and we'll make something work for you.

If you wait a bit longer though I may have some trouble getting you in cause I have a crapload of projects coming up after that.

Adam, Nick, Justin are you guys all still a go for next weekend's dyno at the mustang shop or does anyone want to make some last minute changes.

Also am I still looked after for dyno charges as we had agreed or if Justin drops out it changes things?

Let me know guys thx!
