Wow. For $7K, you could just buy all of the parts for a complete K20A swap.

But kudos to KW for making the kit and all of the research. I haven't been reading up in the FI section, but I'm sure all of the bugs will get worked out. i have confidence in their products and customer support.

Given the new situation, I'm out of the dyno. I'll be taking apart all my parts and putting her back to stock that weekend.

That's what I thought but wanted to make sure. Since we are still booked for Saturday but Toma has yet to confirm our time, I will write him back saying we will show up with 3 cars and Nick and Adam still wana cover my dyno costs.

If it's a bit too steep you guys can both still go and I will come and spectate for sure.

Justin since we might be busy with the dyno a bit Saturday let's look at Sunday/Monday for the teardown pm me when you know.

btw you've been a great Admin to us man

I am in to cover your costs ET, we definitely need a stock Fit to verify things considering both elevation and the type of Dyno.

Man, that sucks you are out Justin. I was secretly hoping to outpull the KW low-boost kit in the tippy tippy top of the upper RPM lol, I know, probably not likely.... but now I will never know

Sorry man, I'd love to participate, but now that I've made my decision, I want to get everything out the door ASAP and start saving up some coin so I don't go broke in the Spring! BTW, ALL YOU CALGARIANS! IF YOU WANT STUFF OFF MY CAR, LET ME KNOW ASAP!

lol, you have so much cool stuff.... but I can't afford any of it... even lightly used

If I don't pick up a new toy next spring I might have some serious interest in your J's suspension and NR's if you have trouble unloading them though (of course I doubt it). I can't commit to anything now though.

bah we can just redrill the NR's so they Fit the bimmer

They probably wouldn't clear the massive brakes on it though

Hey can you guys bump your dyno day to the following weekend? I just spoke with Adam and it sounds like his new map for his turbo won't be tested by AJ until this coming weekend.

I asked Ben about giving me the new map, but he is scheduled for his dyno tuning for that map on the exact same weekend. I'd like to get my car dyno'd and tuned with the new map.. if not, then I would be wasting my money getting it dyno'd again right after...

Whatever works for you guys works for me too, I can make time for it. Any chance I can borrow your back tires just for the Dyno Adam

Hey ET, do you think running a mid-grade fuel would benefit my Fit at all?

I find that high performance cars with bigger engine benefit from higher octane fuel but a small fuel economy engine like the Fit's might see a .5whp increase that would not be really noticable on a dyno or during regular driving.

Premium fuel is good to use once in a while to clean the intake valves but aside from that you won't see many benefits.

What will usually help is lighter smaller wheels, lower ambient temperatures in the dyno room, a good clean air filter and the silencer removed from your exhaust

Haha.. you wanna borrow my back wheels? I don't see that as being a problem.. is there a way we can swap them over at the site? I don't wanna roll around town with the "staggered" look lol..

You'll probably see better numbers with my wheels for sure, but it wouldn't really be accurate to what you are realistically running.. but if that is what you want I don't mind.

I'll confirm asap with Ben to see if I can get the new tune right after the long weekend.. the 6th will work as long as Ben can get me the tune by then. I don't forsee that being a problem..

Also, I don't mind paying part of ETs dyno to get a good baseline comparison.

Hey that would be pretty sweeeeet if you can hook me up for the dyno!

I know what you mean, it won't truly reflect the numbers with my current rims. But my goal is pretty simple, go for max attainable numbers against stock.

If we do it on the 6th Jon will be back with my portable impact gun, should be quick to switch them over on site. lol, I wouldn't ask you to drive around town with 15's on the front and 17's on the rear... although I bet that would look pretty damn cool Should take some pics of it for fun!

I know that anything above regular doesn't help the Fit, but I am wondering in my case where I am coaxing more air and fuel into the engine if I am getting higher compression that might change things a bit.

I plan to clean up the filter the day before for sure.

Now I removed the silencer at the last autoX event... I might be crazy but it felt worse off than leaving it in. That and my car sounded totally ghey.

you will get 2-3 runs for your money try one with the silencer in and one with it removed and see what happens.

Justin next Saturday 9am is fine man .

My 14's will still own all your rims
