Hi George,

I have a similar question as billmus86, actually I have two questions.

I have JDM GD3 Fit.

1. I read the entire thread but I'm still not sure what DRL's are. Is it the light in dash, when you turn the ignition on?

2. If I got the 8000k/6000K and wanted to change to 4300K Bi-Xenon would I need to get a new kit entirely or just the bulbs?

just get what you want first- changing later is iffy,
if you are keeping the same style bulbs, than you are ok

Hi everyone,

billmus: Hrm, yes you can get the Bi-xenon if you want to swap over from the Hi/Lo, however you will need to purchase new bulbs. The Bi-xenon bulbs come with new bulbs as well as the harness needed to make the bulbs work.

mrkorn: DRL's are known as daytime running lights, which are your low-beam halogens being powered by a very weak voltage. If you put in HIDs, you will need to disable your DRL's to avoid damaging the lights. You can just get new bulbs if you decide to switch temps

Thanks for clearing that up, I'll check it out.

I'll probably go with the 4300K 'cause I do a lot of night driving.
