Under Car Lighting 101

It's been busy with the change of seasons here. And Lil Red hasn't been worked on much, but sometimes ya just gotta make time for some fun and that's what I did this evening. Have the LHS under car lighting done, but I can start to understand why ppl buy the light kit, haha ... time! This is about 3/4 done and we have 5 hours in it, but so far not a re-do.

Hey no no no the pic above is what im going for. I paid very little for our eg shoot... what's the fun of buying something that nice? Other than one could save all that time and $ fixing it up, haha.
I have been wanting an EG for a couple of years and this came along and bang i got it. I'll start a thread on her.
Thanks Black3sr.

It's All Good :D

Make the best of a snowy day! I made a license plate relocater for MzFiT, and finished the under car light show on Lil' Red! Changed out the glove box in L.R. for a super clean black CRX one. Lil Red's glove box will go into the newest member of our Honda family, Si to help finish off the interior.
Rain and such for tomorrow with 56* for a high, and L.R. the only one in the garage so back to finishing up the interior! yeah. The U.C. L. are krazy kool! They do all kinds of colors and speeds, but imo steady red is about as cool as it gets, then the strobe effect :).

I'm too anal to move the plate and like it on the FIt, I'm too center and 90* oriented. EGgy got the work hours today. Just a little time for LR, wired in a LED strip for under the PS seat. Straighten up the PS wiring, ECU, ICE power cables. Getting ready for a road test and bolt in the PS seat!!

She has a red base with gold pearl which make and orange color in the sunshine. The interior is all hand stitched black suede leather w/red stitching. 2,500 watts of sound from 4 amps, with 14 speakers and 6 monitors and a flip screen, webasto sunroof, lambo doors, shaved door handles, electric windows, and the best part is under the hood B16A w/Y1 LSD 5speed.
I have the pix from the seller but as of 3/13/13 she'll be in our shop and I get some shots of the real thing!

OPTIMA® Batteries 8071-167 D51 YELLOWTOP®

What a find!!
Going through CL. and found an OPTIMA battery 8071-167 D15 and not just 1 but 10 or so. The one that fits in the 1988-91 hatch, all of them brand new. The fellow that sells them is an older farmer and when he gets batteries he gets 4 pallets of them!! And I bought it for under $100.00.
So I bought in the shop and I checked it out, 12.7v static charge, sealed posts, put my digital battery charger on it and hit charge and in less than a minute the screen lit up "full".
He said all he buys are the gel type batteries, the liquid batteries are on there way out.
So if you're close to 23322 area let me know what size you need and I'll check to see if he has it. U can't beat the price.

Here is the Optima web page:

$214.99
BENEFITS OF THE YELLOWTOP®:
  • Deep-cycle and cranking power
  • Up to two times longer life
  • More than 15 times the vibration resistance
  • Completely spillproof, mountable in virtually any position
  • Maintenance-free
  • Faster recharging
  • Optimal starting power
  • 300+ discharge/recharge cycles

Well I see as far as dependability some reviews are great but not all of them. But this is a perfect battery for Lil Red as these batteries are made for power hungry amps.

A.E.M. Cone Dual Funnel Filter

Stock Photo.

Arrived this morning 3/7/15 and finished up working in our kitchen installing range and dishwasher. Then it was play time so I was going to fit this filter under the hood of lil red but no go. So on to plan B, EG got this killer filter under her hood instead! Looks good! That's one good thing on 3 project car going at the same time, all parts ordered will work well on one of them. :)

Kudos to all the hot tips Perrenoud Fit, but being a vehicular yardbird, I feel like I've been given a hot-line to the belly of a Jawa land-crawler, and I don't know what to do with it!! best always!

Bought a set of these for lil red in metallic gold #550, 10"x 90" will go from wheel opening to wheel opening. They are a fix for a keyed door and fender that came with the car when it arrived from N.Y.
Getting ready her for spring show, this is going to be the year she was built for!!
Laser light over the rear speakers are done and the under car lights- front, rear and sides are finished and crazy cool w/ 7 colors.

I had the family helping hold this 90" sticker away while I applied it to the car. Turned out great!
Thanks to Beth :), Rachel :) and my #1 helper Hailie Mae :) AKA "The Graphics Crew"
