The catz meow

Well it's official I AM OLD!
I carpeted the garage where the civic resides and put in a/c (& If my 17 yr old doesn't stop all her drama I may just move out there> true that lol :). The carpet is 24"x24" left overs. It was 101 @ 90% outside Wednesday and 76 @ 45% in the garage. Polar Bear cold

Pulled out the P.S. tail light and painted the housing gloss black to blend in with the tint. These are after market and had the foe carbon fiber, blah! now when the hatch is open the tails make a nice transition with the red paint and black interior.

Nothing major getting done to the civvy but lots of fishing with Hailie the last few weekends.
She caught a L.M. bass today, last weekend was a good size catfish she landed, & 2 w.e. ago was a bass so big I mean it was this big (............:)..................) and it snapped the line! but not before rolling over right at the bank to thrill my baby gurl.
Life couldn't be better.
Big Mike :D and The Fisher Gurl <><

COB has a whole new meaning 2 me now

Cobbed or cobbled together meant that it was ruffly put together but got the job done! LOL

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Great-2x-Bright-Slim-Z-shaped-COB-Car-DRL-Fog-Strip-Daytime-Running-Lights/400724339216?_trksid=p5411.c100167.m2940&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140131123730%26meid%3D8067747938743588934%26pid%3D100167%26prg%3D20140131123730%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D360939458440
Got a set of these in the mail today and there so bright they hurt my eyes to look at them when they're powered up!
The COB (Chip On Board) is the brightest light I have seen thus far, but still draws low amperage.

CHIP ON BOARD TECHNOLOGY
COB stands for Chip on Board (COB) LED modules
COB, (Chips on Board) multi LED (light emitting diode) chips are packaged together as one lighting module.
COB technology allows the LED modules to be clusters on the circuit boards. Chips are mounted directly on to the circuit board. The LED is bonded directly on printed circuit boards (PCB). A polymer layer is placed over the COB LED for protection. Silicone is used as the polymer layer to protect the COB due to its low photo degradation.
Compared to traditional lighting COB LED modules are super bright for the small space they occupy. COB LED out perform traditional lighting by up to 50 times the light output per centimetre of light surface. COB technology provides significant advantages over traditional surface mount technology (SMT). It is designed with better temperature management, smaller LED module for greater lumen output and lower production costs.
Greenlux LED products use the latest in COB LED lighting technology in LED Downlights, floodlights, globes and high Bay LED lighting.
In general the life span of COB LED can be 40000-50000 hours

interior lighting :-)

There was no interior lighting when i started the lil red never ending story. So this is a new project for her. We already have the map lights in the rv mirror & added a light in the boot with a 3 DRL bulb OEM off/on switch.
2> 20cm COB lights mounted in the kick plates shining at the foot wells areas. And 2 more SMD mini lights that will be used for lighting around the amps and all these will on and off w/ the door switches.
Adding a converter for another specialty light just for car shows @ nite, and wiring in an on board battery charger,(and a diesel generator haha, jk).

Found a pic of the settings on the cross over and reset, I'll never ever play with it again! : < )
wnk, wnk, ha, ha.

Installed the rear battery tie down, wired up the OEM lite in the rear hatch area and added a led bulb.

SHIFTER AND LINKAGE right & tight :)

Well first my #1 assistant Hailie Mae and I jacked the civic up and placed jack stands on all 4 corners. Then we pulled the shifter knuckle out with Hailie passing me tools.
Off to the work bench where she put on a pair of blue latex gloves and cleaned parts w/daddy ;) that's my baby gurl! u kno she gets a kick outa this stuff she said "I like to see what my work turns out at the end of the job, poppa". Have I said how much I love my lil girl? These are the times I don't ever, never want to fade from our memories!

The shifter bushing kit is well worth the money. And when you are doing any work on a "engine swap" there is always tweaking to be done.... replaced all the fasteners with grade 8 hardware, silicone grease and of course had to paint, black/orange and gold flake then covered in clear. We know nobody will ever see it it's just cool to know it's there.

TEST FIT THE LAZER LIGHT like the one in the video above.
And love the effect especially @ night! Have it dancing on the 12's, nitrous and amps. :-) next some bright white leds that come on when the ""bass ~ hits!""
