So, let me get this straight, the price on the website is not the same as the pre-order price, correct?

and the pre-order price is not setup yet, right?

My mind is spacing out a bit at the moment, just trying to clear that up.

I dont blame you, things are not exactly clear at the moment.

Yes, there is still no pre-order pricing. They want us to be patient.

Once the pre-order are annouced, so will the prices.

I thought the prices are already on the site?
3,500$?

This thread is WAYYYY over clutterd, time for a new one IMO.

Retail price is $3500 just like you said and it shows on the kraftwerks site. The special price for pre order has not been announced tho.

Like I said, we have not announced official numbers yet. We have also not stated the gain/loss for AT.

Power numbers in here are simply speculation.

-Oscar Jackson Jr.
THANKS! that can help settle my nerves until i see actual dyno numbers from you guys.

Im anxious to see other members starting to buy the kit and seeing the results...

but i do know one big expensive downfall........if i'd buy the kit, then i'd be tempted to buy every bolt-on/internal parts(once they make them) and squeeze every last hp out of the L15...

now if i could only get a job that i wouldnt drive as much...then i could trade my fit in for another 5spd used one....then i'd be alot more tempted to spend that kind of money

to echo what the jacksons have posted, the numbers are all speculation, and the old kit's dyno is in siphon. i'll stress again, this is speculation and an estimate that came from chris himself. (he does have an exhaust done, with a cat-delete.)

is 130-140 hp so bad? to the wheels thats more than any car in the segment above the fit. (civic, mazda 3, etc) and those cars weight about 200-300lbs more!

do you know what a stock a/t fit dyno's at?

80-85 hp to the wheels.

if you do the math, just 130 hp to the wheels is an increase of 45 whp!!! Does that sound so bad? and who knows how much torque it'll produce.

and remember, these numbers are speculation, the actual kit will probably make even more.

as far as WHY the car makes so much hp in the manual version is simply because of drivetrain loss. thats not Kraftwerks fault, thats just the nature of the auto; manual fits typically dyno stock around 90-95 whp.

But hey, till then you'll be a sleeper.

And yes, nothing looks sicker than a nice little intercooler in the front grill.

I most likely wont be getting the FMIC because I want to keep my fogs. I'm not looking for that much more power anyways, so 5lbs kit w/o the intercooler is just fine for me.
it hasn't been proven that it will add any power, but intercoolers help efficiency and thats whats proven. I know that a few aftermarket intercoolers for cars like the gti add power as well, so i guess its just a basic principle i was applying.

but it has yet to be seen.

as far as the foglights go, i think waaaayyy back in this thread, the jacksons mentioned that you do NOT have to remove the fogs to have the intercooler.(best of both worlds!!! )

clarification?

that hasnt been stated. However I think they may try their best to get it done without having to remove them.

hey guys...

ive been stalking this thread and have occasionally asked stupid questions. so here goes another...

Pretty much everyone ive talked to and the answers gotten; have pointed me in the direction of this mod being generally safe because the boost isnt much, jacksons are reliable tuners, etc. Dont boost all the time and you'll be happy.

BUT here is my but...

If im driving on a roadtrip ex. las vegas and im traveling 80-90mph (consistently) my car will be pretty high in the RPM range probably 4-5k maybe higher. so will my car be boosting that entire time or not. Cause the impression im getting is that boosting for a while (like a 5hour roadtrip) probably wont be good. what do you guys think?

boost is a function of load. load is a function of a bunch of stuff, but i'm gonna guess that at 80mph, cruise control engaged, with a flat road that the motor will operate at vacuum. uphill, you will be under boost. it's not gonna require any more power to cruise at X speed just because you have a supercharger; therefore, engine internals will be under no more stress than stock (except for the additional load it takes to drive the supercharger).

it's a good question, but i wouldn't worry.

Just wondering,

I was just wondering / trying to justify spending 3500 dollars on the supercharger, I am sure it is a great product, but with the economy shaky, and the fact we all bought a $15000 car, how many people can actually afford a 3500 dollar supercharger which is 23% of the value of the new car!!
As the Fit gracefully ages (as mine has just reached 30 000 miles) now it is probably worth around 12 000 dollars, now the supercharger is significant 30% of the value of my precious fit...
After some thought and quick reminder by the $3.14 gas at the closest gas station i do not think i can afford this wonderful but expensive product.
I am wondering how many people are actually ready to purchase it ?.. Do not get me wrong I do earn a respectable income but somehow this seems quite a lot of cash.
