I'm here... This site isn't too active sadly... I just picked up some S-Tech springs for the Fit and some new rear struts since I'm pretty sure mine are blown. Next weekend I'm planning on getting them installed. I would do it sooner but I don't have any money for an alignment and would prefer to not have to buy new tires for the car quite yet LOL.

I'm planning on going to the Car-BQ myself. Unsure if the fit will be going or not. Depends on if I can bum a ride or not LOL. It's nothing special, just a stock fit on wheels with OEM window visors. I think if I do go, I might put the Gram Lights on it from my Civic. I'm undecided if I like the look or not.

That was me in the gray GD sport parked 2 cars from you. The red GE sport is Eric aka importsluts daily. My GD will be lowered next weekend hopefully. I didn't get the gram lights on it because the tires on them are just too big and I didn't get home til late last night.

But is your set up in a GD or a GE? I haven't heard any problems with the GEs but nothing but bad for GDs...

That's what I thought.... LOL. How hard can it be to make a good kit that works? LOL

Someone even said that they started making them out of OEM radios. I wish I had the tools/know how to do that.

Aren't the kits made by the aftermarket pretty inexpensive anyway? so buy one and see how it is, if it's shit then return it, i bet best buy has a kit in their installation department, just call and see

about a fit meet up, what day would work best?

Finally got the Fit lowered this last week. I think I looks much better... not too low, still a good ride quality, and not TOO much outta pocket.

I think I'm going to just get some slightly bigger wheels to fill the remaining gap. I know the Gram Lights I have will do but I think I need a wheel with more spokes... We'll see...

Next on the list is tint and possibly a Spoon style duckbill.

DUDE your car looks good, leave the wheels they are awesome, if you want just powdercoat them to change it up a bit (bigger wheels means more weight and a wider tire that means more friction on the ground and hat means lower fuel economy)
here is the only place i get my tint done (just a suggestion)

duckbill is cool but get fiberglass and paint it to match

I was leaning more for the carbon fiber one. I don't mind the look of some carbon. I probably wouldn't get a CF hood though. Just a bit too much. If I were to get a spoiler that I'm going to paint match it would be the one from aj racing. This one.

Oh... also looking for a spare set of headlights. Planning on spraying the housings black and getting some projectors retro-Fit-ted in them. Also need to either get new fog covers or possibly just vinyl wrap mine black. Then I think I'll be done with the exterior.

I know of envision. I don't know if it's worth the cost though. I have heard they are way more pricey than what's normal and the end result isn't that much better. I have a few buddies that have some hook ups with Tint. I may hit them up.

i had that spoiler on my GD loved it but i always wanted a "backyard special" for the fit. one guy on here was making one, but i don't think it ever got to the finish line and he quit working on it
envision is slightly more expensive than other tint shops but from the looks of it you only need four windows done (looks your front and rear sides are done) so he'd probably be pretty reasonable
at any rate keep up the worl, and some day soon we'll all get a little cruise/shoot get together going

yeah... not a fan of the Backyard special look. i think it looks pretty stupid actually... But that's just my opinion... Sorry if I offend... not really but still...

As for the tint... I honestly don't know what's up with it. It looked like it had been tinted before, and the PS back seat window had some sort of sticky film on it when I bought it, I'm guessing from tint from a previous owner. I don't know why they would've removed it. I think I'm just going to have the whole thing redone... Probably not until next spring before it gets warm.

Yeah... I prefer the GD over the GE personally. I just like the styling better of it. I don't mind the GE... I also got too good of a deal on mine to pass on it. The springs are Tein S-Techs... so I'm not exactly sure on what the actual drop is. This car is my daily so I figured springs would be plenty good enough for me... at least for now. Thanks for the compliments though... I'll try to be more active on here though haha...

i recently came to the conclusion that i never get on here because i never get notified through email lol so i always forget about fitfreak. Hey steve i'm now in the murray area soon to be in the North Salt lake area. I don't have the government job i have been trying to get yet, hopefully soon. Don't worry, i know and plan on still paying you the $120 for the tires and sadly the fit has taken more cosmetic damage . Someone pushed a shopping cart into the hatch and now there is a pretty good sized dent as well as chipped paint. It's sad that no matter how much i baby my fit, all the damage it has obtained thus far is nothing i have caused. Leave it up to everyone else to fuck up my car . When can we all meet up?? I want to meet the new Fitfreak here

Couple quick Qs... anyone know where I can get this lip?

It looks like a retrofit of a Supra lip but I'd like more info on it if possible.
Also, anyone have any lowering springs FS for a GD? I have a guy that is about to part out his fit and is taking off his coils but wants something so it's not a rock climber... HMU if you have anything with a price... gracias!
