Does anybody play any sports regularly? Rec leagues or anything?

 

I hope so, same thing happened when I read Lolita, and if I'm being honest, I say that's one book EVERYONE should read.

Nope. Played some sports in HS until I needed a job at which point sports took a back seat to cars.

Would like to get back into golfing, but that's not really a sport.

 

The local 2nd hand book store hasn't seen as much of me since I have been spending so much time here.

I think I'm going to get another car to drive so I can take my time and do it all at once... The thing is becoming a bit of a beast and will be more of one when I get all of what I have in mind done to it... It won't be long before I draw social security so things will happen quicker... My wife even likes the way it runs and likes to drive it sometimes but with the exhaust valve closed..... I really do have a lot of stuff I need to put on it and more stuff to get.

Ugh, I have a laundry list of parts to buy for the Yazz prior to summer...and I'm not sure I have the funds for all of it :S

 

I'm feeling you. The mod bug hath bitten again and I'm low on fundage. Tax return time can't come soon enough. Lol

I'm hoping we get a bit back but gf was unemployed for part of this year so that will affect us.

I really want to get a few small things, center console, fog bulbs, tails and suspension bars. But I hope we have some more to save. She needs a new car bad (120 mi a day commute and low mpg). I'm pushing for a fit lol. We need a good downpayment.

 

It's about books right? I can't recall the name of the one in town because I am medicating to get some sleep with Makers Mark bourbon whiskey... I think it is Mary's books on the 200 odd side of West Oak Street across from mail n more at 210 west Oak... There are so damned many ignorant asses here that book stores generally don't last long... Wal Mart censors like Nazis or the Rockefeller's and Carnegie's... I used to take of on a motorcycle and go state to state in search of good reading material and have books boxed and shipped to what ever town my travel trailer was close to labelled general delivery. Up on the High Plains you could hole up for days and never be disturbed if you had a lot of guns and could shoot like a Marine.. What are you into? I might have it... Here I am with the gold star for most post or whatever and wasting away and letting my mind atrophy while I try to help these kids not screw up decent cars like I did when I didn't have sense enough to pour piss out of a boot.. They see me as an old guy that is fucking with them but that isn't what I'm about...The only reason I'm not a goddamned millionaire is because I care more for people than fucking dirty lucre.... These younger guys don't get it that an old guy would rather see them enjoy their car the become a slave to a stupid fad... I have had a few double shots but I think you are aware of where my head is, and I want these guys to be happy and still have enough money to make it on their own by not screwing up the ass that bears them.... I expect a lot from the four wheel ass that bears me and service him well and give him the best.. I let him stretch out and run for all he is worth and make sure he is in top shape afterword... If not I nurture and investigate the problem and solution it... I smoke big block Firebirds and Mustang GTs. MINIs and a few turbo DSMs But not all of them. Nothing with a 1500 or 1600 CC engine on four wheels so far has pulled away from me so far and many a car with much more engine have fallen to the way side aqnd gave up on trying a second challenge... Do you dig where I am coming from??.. I avoid having to race the youngsters by letting them see what my car will do with out racing.. I tell them what I have done to get it to do what it does and don't bad mouth anyone that hasn't played dirty with a kid.... Amanda I need to crash, the Makers Mark is making mt sleepy .. He just doesn't come on here. I talk to him on AIM, via phone or formerly XBOX Live all the time though.

Still has his Fit, just hasn't changed much (if anything) in the past year or two.
