Great news. Location?

 

I'm in Connecticut and have been driving a rental since the middle of February. My dealer last I checked (two weeks ago) said they had about 150 cases with this particular recall and were just getting parts in. They also mentioned that if I've been driving a rental since February I was probably at the top of their list.

 

I just called my dealership, the parts are just starting to come in and they are coded via VIN #. When they get the package with my VIN, they will call me. This is good news!

 

We've had a rental since the beginning of March and just got a call this morning that the part is in. They are towing the car to the dealer this morning and should have it back this afternoon! We're in Arlington, VA for reference.

 

Same here, just got a call from the dealer and the airbag for my Fit is ready. Just wondering if should I ask for the tow truck to tow my car. The dealer didn't mention the tow service.

 

The tow service turned out to be my service rep showing up at my house to drive the car back to the dealer.

 

Wanted to note that I got a call this morning stating the parts are in and they will start work on the fix. I can't remember exactly when I dropped the car off, but I want to say early March.

Note, I'm in the Northern VA area for those wondering.

 

Airbags are in at my dealership in Milwaukee, WI. They claim people are beig called in the order in which they got loaners...yeah, I'm fairly sure I should have been first in that line. /rage

 

Called them again asking if they can pick up my car... they said its not possible. So I will have my wife bring the car today and I'll return the rental later this afternoon.

 

Why are people who aren't in the HAH zone getting parts before we do??

WI isn't exactly a desert and call your dealership. They probably got them in and have no interest in fixing your car like mine.

 

Dealer literally just called me. My air bag parts are in! May be going in tomorrow to drop off the Fit.

 

Great news! I'm so happy to hear how widespread the delivery of replacement parts is so far. Really looking forward to getting out of the Versa Note and back into my Fit!

 

I had a voice mail waiting when I got off work----airbag is here!!! All I have to do is schedule an appointment. Yay!

 

Mine got here today too. Tomorrow, we're bringing the under-recall Fit and the loaner Accord to the dealer-and only one shall return!

 

Ugh.

So jealous of all you folks. Good luck dealing with the dealerships.

 

Got a call today as well that my car's bag was replaced and I am ready to give the rental back to pick up my Fit.
I missed it.

 

Just spoke to my dealership - Huntington Honda in Long Island, New York - and they said the new parts are Vin-specific. To date they've only gotten parts for the CRVs, but I was the first FIT brought in in March, so hopefully I'll be getting the call soon. Really miss my Fit. They told me that they would arrange to get the car to the dealership via a pickup or tow.
