I have an AT Sport.
I did the following for my doors to unlock when I switch to off (this is in the manual) but the following is from my memory:

1) Pull up E-brake, Insert Key, Switch to the ON position (don't start the engine, make sure doors are closed
2) Press Brakes, Twist Key and start engine, switch from (P) to (N) Neutral.
3) Hold Unlock button for 5 seconds, hear a click (don't let go yet), wait another 5 seconds and hear a 2nd click, then let go of unlock button.
4) switch from (N) to (P) Park, let go of Brake, Twist key from On to Off and remove.
I prefer previous method. You should keep trying because then the doors will unlock as soon as you put it in park. No need to shut it off to kick the freeloaders out. You need to wait for the third click I believe but check the previous messages in this thread.

About post #185 on page ten of this thread-

You must take your key out at the end- not just turn it to the off position leaving the key in. Also, pushing and holding the door lock refers to the door lock button on the drivers door, not the keyfob. I know that seems obvious, but the first time I read through all this I assumed it was the keyfob.

I noticed something just last week and I don't know if this has always been so, or the reprogram causes it. If you push unlock on the keyfob and don't enter the car before the interior lights dim to black, the car locks itself again. Is this a normal, default setting? It seems reasonable even if it is, but I'm just wondering.

Dan

Hmm...you have a point. Unlocking the doors when switching to P seems logical instead of having to switch it off.

I like this feature. I think I may have read it in the manual. If you do not open the door within 30 seconds it will re-lock. Great for when you accidently hit open on the Fob with no intention of getting in the car. I could be dreaming too about the manual.

Works great! as one posted before, you have to take the key out as soon as the second click happens. theres one click immediately then 2 at 5 sec intervals. after that take the key out wait a sec. to test it: turn your car on put it in neutral then throw it in park and it worked! THANKS GUYS!

You're done.

Hope that works.
I have a M/T 09 and this worked perfectly..

Just turn key to off after you hear the 2nd click..
Thank You
