I have tried your method on my M/T 09 Fit. Didnt work, am I doing something wrong? Maybe its because my fit is the basic model?

I think the reason for unlocking just the driver door is for when you are alone in the car at night. Otherwise, others can easily gain access to your car and cause you harm.

- Insert key and turn forward 2 clicks (don't turn engine on).

- Press and hold the door lock button to its "unlock" position.

- After 5 seconds you'll hear a click. DON'T LET GO YET! Wait another 5 seconds until you hear another click, then immediately pull the key out.

This worked for me!

Might be my best mod yet - I was getting really sick of having to push the unlock button on my remote every morning when I had to retrieve things from the back seat at daycare and then at work.

Woo-hoo!

How about using your remote to unlock all 4 doors at once instead of the traditional way press once to unlock the driver door and press "unlock" again to unlock the other 3 doors. Basically you have to press twice on the "unlock" button to open all doors instead of a single press of the unlock button. Is this possible? and also like in a hot summer days and you want to crack open the windows, on my TSX you press the "unlock" button and hold it for 5sec and all windows roll down.

Works perfectly! Thanks! That was the only annoying little detail about my whole Fit! Now it's fixed! Awesome!

Both of those tweaks would be awesome!

Chalk up another satisfied customer. I was just telling my wife last night that I'd looked in the manual and I couldn't get the Fit to unlock all the doors when shifting into park, sorry. Found this posting today, worked like a charm. Gotta love the 'net.

what I did on my 09 MT sport

insert key in ignition

turn twice to on position

hold the master lock button down, this will give it a click which is actually the doors unlocking. It clicked once, and then again, so technically its 3 clicks.

pulled key out.

all with the e brake on, although I'm not sure if that matters, but just wanted to be accurate.

hope this helps.

I have tried this several times in my MT and have yet to get it to work. For everyone else who has gotten it to work and for the sake of
consistency, did you have it in 1st gear, neutral or what? And with the e-brake? This is driving me crazy!

Many here have been where you are, many attempts and no go. But you have to read the procedure CAREFULLY. Then it will work. Remember to pull the key out immediately after you hear the 2nd click. (does not include the locks unlocking click)

just wondering after this is set, do the doors automaticaly lock themselves when you turn the engine on once you're inside the car? My concern and something i haven't been doing is warming up the car while i brush off the snow off the car/windows because I am worried that the doors will automatically lock themselves. and make this sticky please moderators
