I did this, waiting for the 2nd click method then taking the key out of ignition quickly worked, I can now put my vehicle in park and all the doors unlock

Did this on my 2010 M/T and it worked great. Taking the key out immediately after the second click is indeed the important part.

Cool

Here is the way to do it, if anyone still wondering how.
Factory setting is to have the car unlock driver's door only. So if you like to have all the doors unlocked, here is how.
if it's A/T, Plug key in and turn to II position, press and hold unlock botton on driver door for 12 seconds, you will hear 3 clicking sounds include the first sound when you press it down, once you hear the 3rd click or 12 second is up, turn key to OFF position and your door will be set to unlock all doors when shift in PARK.
for M/T put shift on N and apply the E-Break, and do the same for the key and unlock botton. Unfortunatly for M/T you have to remove the key for the doors to unlock I believe.

enjoy

I didn't have to take my key out when I did it.

As soon as I had flipped the key to LOCK (0), I tested it by flipping it to ON, locking the door and turning the key to ACCESSORY.

To program the Ignition Switch Unlock mode:

Unlocks the driver's door or all doors and tailgate when the ignition switch is moved out of the ON (II) position.

1. Make sure the shift lever is in the Park (P) position (A/T vehicles).

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, and make sure to close the driver's door.

3. On A/T vehicles, push and hold the brake pedal, then move the shift lever out of the Park (P) position.

4. Push and hold the rear of the master door lock switch on the driver's door. You will hear a click.
Continue to hold the switch:
● Until you hear another click (after about 5 seconds) to activate driver's door unlock feature.
● Or, until you hear two more clicks (after about 10 seconds) to activate all doors and tailgate unlock feature.

5. Release the switch, and within 5 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ACCESSORY (I) position.
On A/T vehicles, move the shift lever to the Park (P) position.

6. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (0) position.

works on my crosstour

Did the entire process with my crosstour and worked.

Just to clarify on the number of clicks... In a sense, it's 3 clicks in total. Initial click when holding down the unlock button then the 2nd and 3rd will be in five seconds interval.

Thanks again.

Lightbulb When I registered at Honda...

Besides the manual they also had a door lock manual.

I have the door lock manual on my web page...

I like having the electronic manual also.

I found the physical manual fits in the compartment under the rear seat which frees up room in my glove box.

wonder if it is possible to do that, my GE8 (Asia) does not lock automatically even if I did the procedure mentioned in the posts. My manual has the same instructions, but does not work. It says there though that those instructions apply in some models only. My Jazz is 2010, AT with paddle shifters (no navi though), I guess the closest to the US model is the FIT Sport.

This is the best information ever. My friends/family get so irritated with this. Now, a new page has been turned over in the Fits life.

Worked perfect on my M/T base. It is great to have all the doors unlock so the passengers can get out right away.

I was having a hard time because I was turning the car on. My manual says nothing (at least I did not notice) about not turning the car on.

Canadian 2009 DX-A

Has this worked on a Canadian 2009 DX? The dealerships I call all say no. This is amazing stuff, thank you all for sharing.

Wow. 235 posts on something the owners manual explains very clearly.

No, it doesn't say anything about not turning the car (engine) on.

But on the same token, it doesn't say to turn the car (engine) on either.

It only says to "Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position."

It's not as "clear" to everyone as it is to you (or I). Please, don't come in here just to "bash" people.

Well said. I wonder why he read this if his locks work the way he wants them to?

Finally got my Blank Remote Fob cut!

Thanks to info on this forum, I bought the Blank Key with Remote Door Lock about 2 days after I got my 2009 Fit Basic and programmed it in a jiffy. For its first birthday today, I went into my Honda dealer and had them cut/program the key to work in the ignition for $47.00! He seemed amazed when I told him it was already programmed to "pop" the locks. They must think we're ALL idiots.

He also marveled at the Maplight/Homelink/Sunglass Pocket panel I installed in the headliner, also courtesy of helpful tips here on FitFreak.

Keep up the good work everybody!
