oh ok never mind the above post, the key to this procedure is the remove the key right after the second click...

Thumbs up worked for me

ugh the locked passenger doors were making my Fit-guests all sorts of confused. tried the instructions above (making sure to take the key out) and now all the doors unlock when i turn it off! FitFreak sticky FTW!

finally figured this out after trying for the third time. my problem was leaving the car in neutral with the parking brake up rather than having it in gear. thanks a ton this was pissing me off

the reason only drivers door unlock is safety feature, when wife is driver,no worry about someone entering thru the other doors, unless she personally unlocks them.
now i would prefer they all unlock, but safety first.

Thumbs up Unloking ALL Doors

The procedure outlined in the manual only talks about unlocking the driver's door which is done by following the steps and holding the door lock button for two clicks. If you preform the procedure and wait for three clicks then all doors will automatically unlock. Works perfectly on my 2009 Sport Fit.

Thumbs up Thank you!

I am so glad I found this site! When I first got my Fit 2 weeks ago, I didn't really mind that all the doors locked when I started up and only the driver door unlocked when I put it in Park. It seemed OK and not a big deal. That lasted about a day-and-a-half, until I took my first passenger for a ride. That's when I realized how big a hassle it really was!

I soon dug out the manual and disabled the auto-lock feature. That was OK, but I kind of missed having the doors lock when I was driving. I had decided I'd just have to live with it when I discovered this thread late last night. I was really tempted to go out in my jammies at 12:30 a.m. to try it, but I decided to wait until morning. It worked perfectly! Now, my doors all lock in "Drive Mode," and as soon as I put it in Park, all the doors unlock! You guys saved the day! Thanks so much!

Funny Stuff

So a couple days before I got my Fit I was reading this thread and thought everyone was kind of silly for talking to much about a seemingly simple thing. Well 4 days in to my ownership, last night I was driving around with my wife and after the 2nd time hearing her saying "why doesn't my door unlock!" I pulled into a parking lot and made her wait 10 minutes while I pulled this thread up on my G1 and made the proper changes. Just wanted to say thanks for saving my butt, even though I didn't think I needed it.

Tried it several times and didn't work. Then tried the "click three times" part and it finally worked.

All Fits are 5 spds, lol. But yes, this works on the MT.

Everyone can show their thanks by pumping up my reps, hehe.
