LOVE this forum! Is there anything you people don't know? Just programmed my settings to lock all doors when I go out of park and unlock all doors when put into park. GREAT!

The method C5MT describes deactivates the auto-lock feature on my States AT model, as described in the manual, but does not seem to affect the auto-unlock feature, which is still driver-door only.
I think the only thing I did different tonight was start the procedure with the engine running.
Now the doors lock when I shift out of Park, and all doors unlock when I turn the key from "On" to "Acc"".
I had also fiddled with the "Auto Lock" settings, and I am not certain which mode I last set before getting this to work.
It seems one of two distinct procedures enable the "All Doors Unlock" setting, but it is not clear why. It could be different firmware versions, I suppose. I can see why it might be different between the AT and MT models, or even for U.S. models.
For those with the AT, have you been able to set it to unlock all doors when shifting to Park, or only when the key is switched from the On position?

Mine now locks when I shift out of park and unlocks when I shift back into park.
Well, after six or eight more tries, I was able to get it to lock once under way, and unlock all doors when I shift to Park. The exact sequence which worked escapes me, though. Perhaps it was the bourbon.
What I did was turn the key to the last "on" position without starting the car. Then I held the unlock on the car door (not the remote, i thought this at first :P) until I heard 3 clicks. Finally I let go of the lock and took my key out. Now whenever I put my car in park, all the doors unlock.
I think the "key" here, (pun intended) that some are not doing at first is to immediately remove the key from the ignition as soon as you hear that 3rd click. I can only comment on MTs as that's what I have.
cruzitude's post. there was 1 part missing. shift from P to D. everything else worked. pretty money. thanks for your help on this.
The auto-unlock procedure for when you turn the ignition OFF is:
- Car off, transmission in P (auto only of course)
- Put the ignition in the ON position (do not start vehicle)
- Push and hold the brake pedal down and shift out of P (auto only) TO D.
- Push and hold rear of master lock button until you hear the 2nd click (5 seconds)
- Release master lock buttonand within 5 seconds turn ignition to Accessory setting
- Shift back into P (auto only) and release brake
- Turn ignition OFF
Just got mine set to unlock when the car is put into park. First thing I did after bring the car home... it makes no sense to lock the poor passengers in.
