KraftWerks Supercharger Kit Info v4.0
yea, you know what why dont you just blow it out your ass
low? The graph that KW shows had a max power of 109 whp, I made 112 whp. The dyno it went on was a Dyno Dynamics 2WD. The kit says its meant for stock parts only and the car may run lean with a header and cat. I mentioned that to the guys that installed it and it must not be a issue. I think if I where to put on a cat-delete it would then start running lean

The upgraded injectors do not necessarily add power. They allow you to let your engine breathe more (Cat Removal, Large Header, etc). These add-ons add the power. The upgraded injectors put the fuel back to where it should be for forced induction after you have added these bolt-ons.
Ok so my question is for KWSC owners. For the money to power ratio. Is it worth it? To me it seems like a lot of money for not so much power. This is my opinion I don't want to sound like I'm bashing. I just want to know the opinion of the owners.
well although the power gains aren't as big as a turbo or whatever i think it is worth it only because this seems like a very solid and reliable unit. judging from what these guys are posting the car runs very cool and longetivity should be longer then a turbo
easier to install
spools faster than turbo
power on demand
My car is also an automatic transmission, not the tranny of choice if you want to go with big power anyway. The linear torque curve of the Rotrex supercharger is more A/T friendly which means less chance of calling in AAA because my car is dead on the side of the road with a blown up tranny
I don't think anyone here would argue that the KWSC kit is a simpler install when compared to most turbo kits available today, I'm not even talking about custom jobs either.
1) While it's nice to have, there is no need for extra gauge pods to litter the A-pillar or top center of the dashboard.
2) Intercooler? Hell yeah it looks GREAT but the Honda Fit application doesn't require one.
Also both items previously mentioned scream, "this car ain't stock" to guys that don't have your car's best interests in mind. I work in NYC, trust me this is a huge consideration for me! I park my car at night knowing that it's pretty stealth looking to the average Joe.
3) Tuning issues? I don't have time for that. I work for a living so hanging out in a shop, while fun(shout out to "Gettinafit"!), on my days off isn't what I want to be doing. The KraftWerks kit is plug and play. Simple works for me.
As it stands so far, I'm 100% a fan of KraftWerks. The Fit to me is still first and foremost a high mpg commuter, I don't kid myself thinking I'm going to be taking down EVO's and STi's.
When the time comes to really "go big" I'm thinking S2K with a KraftWerks kit under the hood anyway!
take the t1r turbo for example. huge injectors, and actual piggy-back type engine managment that can be tuned;...its equipped to make more power after certain things like tuning have been done, the kraftwerks kits are the opposite. they are made to run like the fit already had them straight from honda. sure more power can be had, but these kits primary objective is plug and play, and thats ok with me.
its unfair to assume that these kits are all that the rotrex is capable of. these are base kits with conservative tunes, simple as that. youtube some vids of rotrex's and you can see what they are capable of outside of honda fit applications.

as far as the cost of power, i look at it this way:
1. i already have an a/t fit, so getting a manual fit will be more costly in the end and kinda dumb
2.getting a faster car to begin with is costly, and again presents the same issue as # 1.
its just a lot more involved to go the turbo route, especially for auto guys.
and the nature of the blower = reliability.
hey no problem man! everyone has got to do whats best for themselves, and as much as i wish i would have gotten a manual fit, i know its just not doable.
injectors are on the site now, wonder if we'll get some dynos.
ojr: is a cat delete necessary for these to work? i can't recall if the old kit required its deletion. i figured even if you kept your cat, having headers/exhaust would benefit from the upgraded injectors.
I could care less how much more horsepower I gained...it's the TORQUE I love! 50% gain on my Fit with just the base kit alone...
)
ah ok.
looks like cat equipped fits will only see the power already shown on the dyno posted.
ojr, it would be cool to see what an i/h/e and cat deleted a/t with the injector upgrade would do on the dyno. just sayin'.
apparently not. having an exhaust and headers would increase airflow, and in the past the jacksons reccomended the upgraded injectors to those who still had a cat, but also had headers and exhaust. why they don't reccomend it now, i dunno.
granted, everyone who was cat-equipped and had the old kit and got these threw cels, but they also installed the kit and injectors themselves. (and the injectors on the old upgrade package were bigger too.)
