That's awesome! I love small, high precision mechanical/electromechanical stuff. Takes me back to my early days in aerospace R&D with Rockwell and Boeing. We had a lot of that technology inside the control sections of our missiles. High tech without all the skinned knuckles. Definitely a tweaker world, and it doesn't mess up your transportation to/from your day job!

Not sure anybody really knows. Have yet to see a dyno sheet from the people "trying" to sell it...

I have some land in Florida for sale, but it's not near a swamp... honest.

Lol I mean HP is good and all but we have enough to get us to the limiter. I want to get up to speed faster which we need torque for!

Oh no RC Helicopters? Lyon the idea of you messing around with those things is frightening to me... Behave yourself and don't start developing tactical components into them...

There's a Sprintex post on a '08 Honda City (from March '11)... it claims 2.01 kg/m increase (14.54 ft·lb).

Oh goodness. Do they really think they have a product with so little improvement? Unless this is running a stock ecu with no tune thats just terrible numbers for $ input..

Technically, it is a stock ECU. They're piggybacking off of it.

so for those of you interested, Rick Rimmer sent me a reply to my initial inquiry about this sc system for the usdm fit back in 3/2011, this is what he said

"Steve,

I have US egr Fit s/c systems available. $2495

Rick"

So aparently they have solved the big EGR issue??! Im planning on selling the fit soon but whoever wants more info I would say to contact boostec@msn.com

Jamy, the Kraftwerks base kit for the GD costs $2995 and performance numbers are similar. Does this mean anything, not really, because I don't believe KW has sold a ton of kits for the GD, hence their lack of support for the GE. Though at least for those that want some FI from a supercharger now will have an option in North America.

Also on a sidenote, I have a EGR on my Fit. So it is not just a North American GE thing.
I was under the impression that the KW kit was producing better numbers.. I don't know much about SC's but you wouldn't be able to use KW's high boost kit on the Sprintex would you?

I was going to say no, but after looking at it (aside from it being for the GD) why couldn't you use it?

the high boost upgrade to the KWSC base kit, is just intercooler, ecu remapping, injector replacement and cowl to suck air from up top.

with adjustments for the GE, I would think a similar item could be made for the Sprintex.

But the primary selling point of the Sprintex is exactly the fact it doesn't need an intercooler and other additional modifications. It's pretty much all on one tidy location.

The KWSC works well with out the intercooler and maybe a little better with it... The 5PSI base kit has a stand alone tuning devise, was a lot of fun and and used just a little more fuel.. The Sprintex looks like a decent alternative to the KWSC Base Kit. If DSM was to decide to take an interest in it he may be able to come up with ideas for getting more performance out of it.

nice! i guessed i missed the part where Sprintex was able to resolve the EGR issue. I guess the power increase is expected. Does anyone know if this kit runs off of the stock ECU mapping? Or is there a reflash or piggyback?

=_="

I've mentioned a few times(apparently i only mentioned it once) and linked to the installation pdf... yes, there's a piggyback.

So, based on some comments here and other threads I was under the impression everyone would jump at the chance to get a "bolt-on" system. Now that they are available, and for $2500.. who's bought one?

.
.
.

Anybody?

Excuses/rationalization in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1..
