Sprintex supercharger IS AVAILABLE!(GE8)
So, based on some comments here and other threads I was under the impression everyone would jump at the chance to get a "bolt-on" system. Now that they are available, and for $2500.. who's bought one?

are you actually going to get it? wouldn't shipping to Canada be even more complicated than within the US?
Damn, You actually serious about getting it? It's sitting in the back of my head to keep the fit and do something for power, but that idea is waging war with "get a faster stock car"... Decisions decisions.
So I just read through the entire install book Here looks relatively simple to install until it gets to the piggyback install and retuning the ECU. That's where it looks like a pain in the ass but still relatively easy if you can work your way around some basic crimpers and a soldering iron.
Idk. I think I may jump on it over the summer. I don't have the money anymore after about 1.2k going to school stuff..

On the other question, even if I was inclined to pursue the kit purchase, unfortunately I have the worst kind of excuse... my wife and I retained attorneys 2 weeks ago, and I don't think this would be a good time to drop $2500 to tinker around with my Fit. Shit happens and priorities change.
what do you mean "adjustment"? installation? tuning? or driver's adjustment (getting used to) to modified engine?

Why do I want just the manifold and s/c all of a sudden? I hear that voice again whispering in my ear "do it for the shiggles". I mean I already have a tuning and fuel solut.... what the hell am I thinking, this is absurd. I'm not going to see the same gains as before and I still have a t28 sitting in my attic. I will just bide my time.

Scroll back through this thread and re-read some of my posts. They are filled with hidden (and obvious) messages about why you don't have said product in-route with a tracking number in hand.
I worked at Ford for a while, and dealt with a variety of automotive mfg's, both domestic and foreign. I am not the least bit surprised by what you're experiencing. The $2500 isn't their "price point" - it's their wrapped cost of manufacturing and profit. They are not doing low-rate or short run production on this until they can predict volume. They don't have the funds to produce 100 of them only to have them sit on a shelf taking a loss hoping for a consumer to take them off their hands. They are most likely going to make them a couple at a time initially, as if they were prototype units/kits.
99% of American Fit owners buy them for practicality and functionality, because their "other" vehicle is the gas guzzler, or performance car. Those of us that frequent this forum are truly a minority, and cannot sustain a product line for these small companies. The Fit was never designed to compete with other supercharged or turbocharged production vehicles like the Mini Cooper-S or the S/C'd Toyota and Scion products. It is what it is. You can thank Honda for that - which is quickly becoming the Oldsmobile of Asian auto manufacturers. Honda has become painfully conservation and boring, solely focus on MPG's. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You'd be surprised and embarrassed if you drove a Mini Cooper-S and were to pull up beside a Fit with a KWSC high boost kit at a signal light and tried to take it on .... 10PSI of boost and a good exhaust system turns a Fit into a completely different driving experience... Stock Civic SIs are no problem either...My son has a TSX and readily admits that he doesn't want to suffer the humiliation of being trounced by a Fit being driven by an old man.

You can supercharge your Fit for 3-5000K and still have a 13 second car in the 1/4 mile. The supercharger is good for what, 160-180 whp? I think a k swap is an overall better decision...with a K24 you'll get 230+ whp with just bolt ons for close to the same price. Hasport has confirmed that their CRZ mounts will work for the GE.
