Sprintex supercharger IS AVAILABLE!(GE8)
I just both of them haha. If you want to boost your fit that's where you need to go. Hands down.
I know he nitro'd engine one, then went turbo... and that's when he had to replace the engine twice.
Once he got to #3, he left it stock.
edit... looking through his posts, seems like it was after bending a rod on engine #3 that he chose to go stock (until he got a backup car, according to him)

In fairness to that motor, he is new to tuning and there was much experimenting going on.
This is not a slight against him, I give him a ton of credit.
There is not a ton of margin for error with pump gas in a 10.4:1CR engine.

Well kick me in the Jimmy! Sprintex actually delivered a S/C to a forum member. That's one... which still does not imply that these "kits" are in production and ready for off-the-shelf consumption. I still have my doubts that this is anything beyond a custom fab or post prototype made-to-order. Quite a few people in the U.S. have inquired about this "kit" and have given up out of frustration. It appears that after weeks (months?) of negotiating you're the first Fit owner any of us know of that actually acquired one. I would be more excited if you were modding a USDM GE8 Fit, with you and Sprintex both located in AU.
Looking forward to some pics, feedback, audio, video, etc. I'm a tough sell on this item and still need to be convinced... especially after some crybaby at Sprintex called me a fanboy without knowing my automotive background or potential as a consumer.

People should try calling their local tuner shops and seeing if there is interest in developing something.

Nice
When will you be installing the kit? I'm hoping it's soon, because I am really curious about the power (and sound
)
Props for being the first on here to get it.

I will be installing it this weekend and taking plenty of pics, make some requests as I don't write reviews 'n' stuff often, I am missing a few bits from the kit that I am talking to the rep about now but nothing that will hinder my progress.
You know that moment, a few months later, when you are sitting down doing nothing and suddenly, out of nowhere, it hits you... I should have wrote a failsafe! If I just would have taken 30 seconds and pulled 25 degrees timing in my ignition map on everything 14 psi and higher, this never would have happened. But I just used a linear -0.5DBTDC/1Psi ignition map. Which means I was only pulling 8DBTDC at 16psi. So at peak timing advance with no knock the engine wants to run 22DBTDC - 8DBTDC in my ignition map means I'm running 14DBTDC @ 16PSI with a shitload of exhaust restriction on that tiny turbo (to the point where I have no idea how much air I'm actually flowing and exhaust temps are sky high and scavenging is non-existant) @ a too lean 11:1 AFR. I was bound to fail.
... If I just would have wrote a failsafe ...
So, It's time to tell the story of what really happened that day...
I was suffering from significant turbo lag (spool up) with the 12psi wastegate actuator I had just bought ... I figured my cracking PSI was too low. So I took my boost controller and tried putting a small spring against the ball bearing to hold back the boost in the reference line until about 10 psi. I thought the spring was too small. When I took the car out to test it... The spring was too big. The wastegate actuator was not getting any boost from the reference line. I got away with it once. I'm really not sure how high the boost was going. It was at least 16psi, maybe peaking higher at lower rpms since the turbo is effectively stuck on 100% flow. This was the first time I ever hit 16psi without the knock sensor kicking in and shutting the motor down. So, I decided to try it again. BIG MISTAKE. CLANK CLANK CLANK -Bent Rod. And my heart sank at that moment because I already knew the dream was over, no more boosted fit for a long time, I just couldn't justify the expense anymore since my bonus checks were getting smaller and smaller...
And that's the story of how a 50 cent spring destroyed my engine.

What scares me about tuning with the F/IC and wide band A/FR gauge is that I have trouble operating a cell phone and I mean if I have taken it with me I can't remember how the damn thing works when I have to call someone ... Shit with springs, levers, pulleys, gears, floats, points, cables no problem... I have honestly seen a 3 year old learn how to more with my 1st computer than I could and he never messed it up like I still do on occasion...
I am in contact with the sprintex rep op got the kit from. He told me I'd get an email later this week about the kit. He said they would have stock soon so I have the cash and am waiting
I wonder if a $400 junkyard m45 off a mini coop would bolt up to their manifold... Then All I need is the manifold they made. Being poor sucks. It's not that I don't have the ability... It's just that I don't have the 4 grand to do something like this gt28 + m45.
