Yes that is true, I do appreciate it. Usually what happens is demand doesn't develop until the cars get old enough to have "it's OK if I mess it up" owners interested in tuning, and THEN development starts on a tuning interface, and by the time it's DONE the cars are so old that your reward for tuning it is a really crap car that's a big faster than it was 10 years ago. So if we can shorten that lag by asking for development NOW and showing that ALREADY the appetite is developing, then maybe once the cars are old enough to tune the system will be available. I'm thinking long term you see :P

I think it's reasons like this that you see tuning solutions primarily for somewhat older cars, sold in high numbers, with a performance variant already existing. Think about how many total buyers you have to get over time to break even on your development time and how many cars you have to start with on the market to get to those numbers ... a bit scary if you're a tuner trying to decide how to spend your next few years huh?

Hey also - with an integrated manifold is that going to always be the bottleneck to flow? I mean even with a tuning solution will that variable always be the one preventing power gains?

Please say no :P

If we can get enough interest on this, I'll see what I can do as a dealer for Hondata.

I too will email them about possibility on production for the Flashpro for the GE8.

Thanks.

They have it for the CRZ, which has the same manifold design. Also, Lyon[Nightroad] has a proven turbo build on a GE8. So No.

It only took hondata 5 years to make and release flashpro for the GD. GE owners might have to wait a little longer. There probably going to see how the sales for the GD go before they make a flashpro for the GE. It wouldn't be smart making all these flashpro units if hardly anybody buys them.

Just my .02 cents

Lol... Not trying to put anyone down I'm with you guys I just think the flashpro should of been available to all fit's not just the GD. I'm guessing the GE ecu is a little different than the GD.

Actually it makes no sense to make one for the GD before the GE, looking at it from strictly a North American aspect. The GD sold for just 2 years there, the GE has most likely already surpassed the amount of GDs sold there. I know many are scared concerning their warranty, I just am unable to follow that line of thought. Just because you can tune the parameters, doesn't mean one needs to go crazy with the tune putting the engine at a level of imminent danger.

I for one would send Hondata the money this moment and give up my flashed ECU from J's Racing to acquire a FlashPro. Just a bit annoying they make one for the autotragic R18 Civic and neglect Honda's most fun to drive car.

Nothing is available for the GE8 as of now. I spoke to Hondata about this, but as for of now, they have no plans at the moment.
