Until I have too, GD guys had to wait almost 5 to 6 years, since the GE's have been running longer now (5 years) I really don't see it being that much longer for us.

I'm just wondering what most of you plan on doing to your GE's that would require the Hondata.

I'm familiar with how it works and I've used SCT to tune my Mustang and they are similar in how they work with the ECU.

I dont see voiding my warranty on a new car for anything less then a turbo or supercharger that I would need to dyno tune and flash the ecu.

I think it would be a great option to have but I would like to hear some of your plans.

Our ECU auto relearns meaning, I could put a CAI and a full exhaust system which should get me about 15hp give or take. Well with out the flashpro it only works for a a day then the ECU relearns it self and your back to stock.

I would be willing to put half of the estimated price down to cover r&d for Hondata. I'm sure if more people were willing to do that Hondata would take us seriously. Just my .02

If nothing else we could reset RPM limits for each gear. Would help us in auto x where at times the limiter interupts forward momentum.

I was thinking if they are going to be 800 msrp then everyone that wanted to could put in 400 dollars in. Then when it comes out you would pay the difference. We will get more respect as a community if we put our money where our mouths are. Again just my .02.

Interest threads aren't definite. If y'all do start putting down a deposit on it, then they see that y'all are not only interested, but aren't going to back out at the last minute either. Probably help out a little.

A depost on something thats not there. Don't think so and $800 way over the top. Not spending thousands for a few HP. Must be my common sense comming forward.

It's not $800, let alone in a group buy.

I look at it as money spent for a tunable car, and not so much what adding the Hondata will do right off the bat. Still pretty pricey for the potential N/A gains.

Anything you do NA, especially on such low displacement is going to be comparatively costly.

Look at TPColgett's results.

11whp permanent gain from some minor bolt ons just by playing with the fuel trims.

He's now running a much further refined tune from me, and seat of the pants feel is suggesting that has been improved further as well. I am able to affect a wide array of changes.

He's having to rein in wheelspin on 225mm tires with a 140 treadwear rating from a dig on an NA Fit if that illustrates the change.

Among myriad other things, I have re-mapped his throttle plate vs. pedal relationship to feel like a mechanical linkage as well, and he has since ditched his electronic throttle controller.

If you include the ability to tune for fuel economy, see direct sensor feedback, etc. It's a fucking steal for the $625-675 I'm seeing them go for on other models.

I've had a LOT of people drive the car, both before and after the re flash and it really really makes a noticeable difference. The car PULLS, and trying to launch hard using the launch control now generates typical Honda wheel hop which should be cured by my new Innovative 75a mounts.

If your going to spend $250 on an intake, $350 on a "header" and $300+ on an exhaust... for net ZERO gains, your are MUCH better off ponying up the $625-675 up front for something that will actually let you get the few more HP off of your bolt on's... Otherwise, that $$$ is being spent on making your Fit make more noise...
