they won't tint the front windshield here in Colorado but you can go 27-30% on all others. I am trying to figure a good % combo, so I can see ok out the front windows at night. Any suggestions?

June was hot in Georgia, July is looking no better, and I'm headed for the Gulf Coast in two weeks, so I finally got the windows tinted today.

3M Crystalline 40%, rated for 97% IR, 59% total solar rejection. Unfortunately, it's a cloudy day, so not a good test, but the car seems noticeably cooler inside.

Installation by "The Tint Guy" in Woodstock, GA. I did a lot of research, and this shop receives consistently good customer reviews. Only 3 hours since the work was done, and I cannot see any clouding or faults.

Anybody ever use Llumar Blue Air on their windshield? One one of the dealer's websites here in Ohio, they say they use it and it's legal.

The actual wording of the Ohio Revised Code says:
(2) Any sunscreening material or other product or material applied to the windshield when used in conjunction with the safety glazing materials of such window, has a light transmittance of not less than seventy per cent plus or minus three per cent and is not red or yellow in color.

Which means the 80% of the Blue Air should be legal.

capitaltpt: I have Llumar Air Blue 80 on all windows including the windshield. I love it. The tint is very subtle. You won't notice the tint.

Can anybody recommend a tint shop in Ohio (Dayton or Cincinnati area) that deals with Llumar?

Looks great! Do you have any pictures from the inside (looking out)?

Do you regret or wish you went darker at all?

I am getting 20% next weekend.

I need opinions!
(I know that is a VERY dangerous thing to say on a forum)

Getting the windows tinted next Friday and I am looking at getting 20% all around. Anyone have 20% and wish they went darker? I could probably do 15% as well...

Is 20% too light?!?!?!

I have 20% on the back 5 windows and I do wish I had gone with limo tint, 5%. The dark interior DOES help make the tint look darker thought so keep that in mind. With more and more people using what seems like brighter headlight bulbs I would like my rear window darker to cut down on the brightness. If you have doubts don't worry, the 20% looks great on the car.

Thanks for the input. The shop can do 15% and 20% so I am debating between the two. I had 15% on my old Civic and at times it was too dark (at night, or when it rained)...but it looked really good. If you are happy with the 20% and how it looks then I might just go with the 20%.

I plan on doing 20% all around.

Can you post a picture of your car?

Nice Vtec Decal.

I bought Vortex Blue but after seeing this I wish I got the silver one.

Silver w/ tint looks great!

35% on the front 4 and 20% on the rear 5 and 6" windshield strip. I will say, these pictures make the tint look a little darker than it actually is though. Which ever way you go the car will look better with tint haha. This is the first car I have ever put tint on and it was so worth it.

Tinted my 2007 Fit, small windows, in Anaheim, California. Never said everything about not being able to do it.

My 2007 GD sport has the Quebec legal limit tint everywhere and I think it looks badass. I have 15% side fronts and 30% side rears and rear windshield. I learned when i got the car inspected by CAA (Canadian AAA) that the only thing that is not 100% legal is that there is no cutout in the rear view mirror tint for the third brake light. I think that's real nitpicky and no cops have ever bothered me about that. Also, a very tinted rear means that it is difficult for thieves to look in your trunk so might be a slight theft deterrent.

You are basically going for dark front light back, which is opposite of mine. I'll be interested to see how it turns out. I can't remember if I got my little sides tinted. I'll try and post pics.
