How much did you pay for your Fit?
Congrats May! And great deal, Bucky! I think the real happiness is in how we choose to use the cars in our lives. Always happier to compare down. And, so, I save $20 a month over what the Yaris would have cost plus $100 less in insurance. But, I'll be happiest on road trips. Call me the happy camper!

Lol, or a loaded iPod and emergency supplies. Have fun. I'm headed to 4-corners this weekend.
Just saw this thread, sorry to take so long ;-) Had my 2007 Fit Sport almost two years. Bought it April, 2012 from a tiny independent dealer in Phoenix. Wanted a salt free car. I live in western NY where they salt away any snowfall less than 6". Many cars don't last long here B4 they get body rot. I do all my own work on my fleet of 8 cars for the past 50 years. This includes mounting and balancing tires, alignments, engine, tranny, suspension and electrical work. Newer Hondas are great, reliable well engineered cars. My 1980 Accord was great mechanically but rusted out from under me at only 150,000 miles and 14 years old.
2007 Milano Red Sport, M/T, 123,000 miles, body & interior very good shape, two owners. They averaged over 30K miles per year, had to be mostly hiway. Got from 31 mpg @ 80mph to 42.5mpg @ 60mph on the way back to NY. Paid $8650. Car had good Yokohama YK520 all-season tires. Only uses one quart oil per 6500 miles, best I've ever seen in 50 years of driving. Switched to Mobil 1 and K&N air filter first time I did maintenance. Bought steel 15" wheels and using Michelin Xi3 snow tires, luv them. Car now has almost 160,000 miles and going strong. Xlnt purchase, very inexpensive to operate, fun to drive. Tested an '08 Fit automatic, what a slug. M/T is the way to go for a 1500 cc engine. Wish the car had a 6th gear overdrive. Engine rpm is way to high at 80 mph. Dumb gearing is Honda's worst mistake. Mpg would be even more impressive w/ overdrive.
