So if another dealer can sell you that same warranty for $800 and still make a profit how much do you think your finance manager made from your sale?

Not trying to "get" you on anything. Just letting you know that your employer did make money off you. Not necessarily a bad thing but you seemed to think they gave you everything at their "cost" which more than likely wasn't true.

Also what the heck is a pack cost?

they did make some money. They actually made $19.64 according to my washout sheet. i know they made money through incentives and other such things through honda but so did I. A "pack" is the holdback on a car which is the HDAG charge. It varies from city to city and here in St. Louis it is 200, but like in kansas city it is 300 and in chicago i believe it is 350. What that is, is money added to the price upfront to basically upcharge you and is used for advertising.

Pack is advertising and training added. Its just BS ..another excuse to muster up a fee to tack on.

Personally I don't know if he, above, is an employee because I've never heard of $150 mini commission made to oneself when buying a car in house. It would always be labeled as "house" deal. Hence, no commission.

Pardon me. MACO is advertising and training fee. Pack is holsback but as I know it, pack on Fits is not just $200. Its more like $500-700. I am sure they made money on above fellow employee deal.

Yes i am an employee Come to West County Honda in St. Louis and id be happy to say hi to you. The pack on a fit here is not 500-700 dollars. It is 200.

BTW the pack changes from dealer to dealer. You may go to a dealer that packs 500-700.

Cheers to you as well.

Im not trying to stir anything up. I just know what was paid for the car and what i paid. Nearly every dealer wont tell a salesman what was paid for the car, but since i do all the dealer trades i have access to all the invoices and cost them out for when we trade. After that cost is when a dealer will pack them, and put whatever accessories they want on it.

We stick no accessories on anything because we have accessory sales people for that. Right now we are selling 250-280 cars per month and for this area that is good. We are tailing St. Louis honda by about 70 cars but that is going to change very soon.

I can't fathom anybody paying anywhere near $20K for a 2 year old used Fit with 20k miles. That is just pure stupidity, are people really that gullible in Seattle or is that just your lot sticker price and they actually sell for much less? For $20K you have your choice of many brand new 2011 cars much nicer than a Fit.

Glad I purchases my 10 Fit Sport a year ago, $15,738 plus CA state fees/tax (no bs charges other than 9.875 sales tax!). I love the car and would pay sticker if that was the best deal.
Got it in palo alto CA.

Bought Gd in July 07 when the dealers were doing that "we have shortage of fits and no discount". Located a black one for 17k out the door. Had mud guards and door protection thing installed. Told them to take it off but mechanics was off already.

I bought my 2011 SSM Sport M/T for $18529.26 out the door after $1,000 trade-in credit. The vehicle had 83 miles from the dealer swap to get my color (San Juan Capistrano to Carlsbad).

Did I pay too much?

I'm buying a 2011 Sport M/T for $16,800. I'm trading in my 2002 Civic with 131,000 miles for $2,000. It has some rust and needs some repairs (a/c computer, exhaust manifold, new brakes and rotors). The price does include the destination charge, but not the registration, tax and title.

I was looking through this thread last night and feel like I paid too much. It is the only M/T Sport I could find out of six dealers in the area. Regardless, I know I will love the fit!

If I were a Honda salesman I would go to another Honda dealer and tell them I am a salesman at Weal Ripem and How Honda. Tell them this is the price my employer gave me, can you beat it?

I guarantee you they will beat the price by alot JIm 0311

And no mini commission.
