Picking up my brand new 2010 Honda fit sport tomorrow. I was able to get it down to 16,250, and after trade in, and all taxes+fees included, It is going to cost me $13,098.

I'm sealing this deal later today: 2011 Honda Fit Sport, MT, Black with Wheel Locks, Body Side Moulding, Door Edge Film, Rear Bumber Applique, Door Visors, and Cargo Cover...also it has "Theft Protection"--glass etchings, (and full tank of gas) for an "out-of-the-door" price of $17,903.00. I was advised by 3rd parties that this is a good deal. I think it is too, but am not certain. My only concern is that there are already 125 miles on it. Does anyone think I should be worried about this mileage? What do folks think about the price I am paying?
Here is a link to the actual car I am buying (photos taken prior to insatllation of accesories): 2011 Honda Fit Sport For Sale | Swanzey NH

Just got mine last week - 2011 Fit Sport manual. With $1008 in taxes, plus tag, title, and fees, plus optional cargo mat, door visors, and all weather mats all rolled in, the drive out total was 18,660.

Hey guys. I'm stuck in negotiations right now with the car dealership guy. He's saying $19,400 OTD (California tax at 8.75% included) for a Sport AT. Everything that I'm seeing on this website is that these cars are often going for a thousand dollars less, he's acting incredulous about that those. Who's right? He says his "break even" price is about 17,473.

Note the location of people stating OTD prices. A lot of other states (not California) have lower or no taxes. I would say getting it down to $18.8-9K would be a great price and call it a day. I got $19k in 9.25% tax rate OTD a couple weeks ago.

Ultimately, if he's not willing to go lower, either find another dealership willing to match the price or beat the price or just see if he'll throw in extras to sweeten the deal. Good luck!

just picked up mine last week..

2011 Fit sport, A/T no Navi.
$17500 with shipping & full tank gas ..
before tax and fees to uncle sam..

I heard no more Fit will be shipped to USA from Japan for a while, once the dealer sold out the inventory, everybody need to wait... so the dealer don't wanna go down that much for the car almost 100% made in Japan

I'm picking up my new 2011 base model Fit AT tomorrow. After a lot of haggling between two different dealers, the one who has the car I want available on their lot agreed to $17,000 even out-the-door. That includes T/T/L at 8.5% tax, and my trade-in worth roughly $1,000.

Originally was hoping for Celestial Blue Metallic, but that color seemed nearly impossible to find in the base model in my area, so I settled for my second choice, Polished Metal Metallic. Still very shexshay looking!

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Hah, those were the two colors I was looking at for my 2011 Fit Sport AT. I chose CBM in the end, but PMM looks sexy too. Grats!

Where are you in Cali? I got 16,500 (before tax) for Sport AT without even bargaining, that's the price they initially quoted me. That was a President's Weekend special, and there may have been a Honda manufacturer $500 rebate at that time. But still, I would think you could get 17,000 (before tax). Try calling around to other dealerships' internet/fleet/direct sales for quotes. Also try a Costco Auto program quote (ask a friend if you don't have membership).

Anderson Honda _did_ offer me $16,450 until the Japanese earthquake. Then every time I asked, the quote went up. -_- I gave up after getting two higher quotes after I asked if they would go lower knowing that another dealer said they would match.

Tallera257--Congrats!!!
So if I did the math right you are getting it for $16,470 (not including taxes and administrations/ hidden fees)? When you read this, it might be too late, but there is a good chance that you can hold out for the color you really want, and despite the dealers groanings, they will trade one of their cars with another dealership--especially if you tell them that you will walk if they can't accomodate your preferences.
Although, generally, prices do seem to be similar, it appears that there are some significant variations in what folks are paying. Do your research, shop around. Some quotes I was getting were $1500+ more than what I ended up paying. Also, negotiating on a stormy weekday towards the end of the month might result in a lower OTD price.

Out the door means with tax and licensing right? if so how are you getting it that cheap?

I just bought one today 17578$ + 9.25% tax lic. came out to 19203$
added the 5 yr dent service for 399 so just under 20k OTD including tax, fees etc.

Yeah.. OTD is with everything...remember i also had a trade in so that covered the license and registration.. it took me 3 weeks... first week, i didn't know what i was doing when i went to dealership, second week, i did alot of research and tried bargaining with 4 dealerships from online dealerships(best quotes and deals online), week 3, the closest dealership finally took my lowest offer and the sales man was really cool... he was actually the first guy i talked with the first week.. i'm pretty sure all the dealerships dislike me.. haha... but it's business and you jus have to do what you got to do... it's all about patience and waiting near the end of the month.. I also did not get any other warranty, that stuff just setting you up to spend more money... when you buy their warranty, you also have to do all the maintence, sure, u get some free services but still, you gonna have to always keep all records and reciepts and maybe pay for the pricer maintence.. so i just got the free warranty...
