I just picked up a 2013 White Fit Sport Auto for $17,888 after delivery and $18,061.50 after the admin fee, temp tag and lean fee. This was from Meyer Honda in O'Fallon, IL. All this with free all weather mats and a 100,000 mile warranty instead of the standard 60,000.

I was quoted, however, $17,610 after delivery by Honda of Grand in Chicago, IL. It was more of a drive, and the internet sales dealer I talked with was not as friendly or helpful. According to truecar.com, I got the lowest price in my area by around $100, since it was last updated anyway.

The way I got my pricing, was by going through edmunds.com for a price quote. Hopefully this is helpful to someone out there looking to get in on the .9% for 60 months financing before it's gone at the end of the month.

Happy Hunting!

Just reworked the deal and got the 2013 White Fit Auto Sport for $17,888 out the door. Frank Leta Honda in O'Fallon, MO took really good care of me. Got them to throw in the premium package, with lifetime free road side assistance, 2 free oil changes, free lifetime car washes, free tire repair/replacement, and free all weather floor mats. 0.9% financing too, can't beat it!

Got the dealers to work against each other and they just kept matching or beating the other offer.

Got my 2013 Fit base automatic silver for $18,300 out the door, cash from Honda of Burien in Seattle, WA. I tried to get the dealers to work against each other for a month but no one really budged.

The breakdown is: $16323.77 base price + $224 fees + $1599.73 tax (9.8%) + $150 document services fee + $2.50 administrative fee = $18,300.

I might've been able to negotiate a better price with financing, but decided to go all cash.

Thanks for the breakdown! Wish more people would post this so that everyone can compare apples to apples!

Yeah, I wish people did that as well. I actually went through a couple pages of prices here and tried to reverse-engineer base costs and taxes to see whether the offer I was getting was a reasonable deal (I didn't have the time to look for an incredible deal).

Posting the city, tax rate, and whether you financed would help a lot.

My 9.8% tax rate made a lot of the OTD prices in this thread look impossibly low, but once I figured that out the prices made more sense.

To help a bit, I paid $17,678 for the car plus $200 in admin fees, $10 in tag fees, and $1,064.34 in tax for a total of $18,952.84. I guess my "out the door" price listed above is not accurate at all. I did finance, but I came to this price by email blasting dealers through edmunds.com before I told anyone about the method I planned to use to pay. Hard to beat the .9% financing they have now, as I can get more interest with my money in the bank right now instead of paying for it in cash. Free money, basically, for me. This is in St. Charles, MO with a sales tax rate of 5.95%. We pay property tax each year, so they get us in other ways. If I lived just 5 minutes away, in St. Louis county, I'd be paying around what you do in taxes or just under.

Planning to get the windows tinted, then the center console and I'll be done for now.

How is there a destination fee on a used car? And even with the 5% (~$650) state and whatever local taxes, that's still crazy. It sounds like the dealer just makes their profit on the "fees" rather than the price.

I completely agree. I questioned the dealer and asked why is there a destination fee for a used car and he said "the car came from Pennsylvania, we had to pay a truck to bring it here." I jumped on the car b/c of the low retail price and mileage then get slammed with fees. Too bad I fell in love with the car before finding out about the fees.

Fwiw, next time the focus should be out the door price rather than before the fees.

20K cash for '09 sport AT when new...with dealer options. i didnt care for them, but it was already on the car so i just bought it since my wife liked the bits. she's the primary driver.

19k cash for my '12 sport MT last year. it was 150 over invoice. in my area, that was the best i could find last fall, and fine by me.
