After a little cluster faux at the dealers, they had sold me a certified that turned out to have been in a pretty good bang up, they sold me a '13 Sport, 2 miles on it, with weather mats and rear appliqué, for $17001 including fees. They're also gonna tint the windows today. I guess they felt real bad about the previous screw up.

I just bought a 2008 56K excellent (brand new brakes and battery), one female owner, well maintained, manual Fit for US$10,900 plus taxes (6.5%) plus title and $75 dealer fee. Did I pay too much? Midwest USA. The dealer said they don't negotiate. Should I have tried to negotiate?
My independent mechanic (I've known for over 20 years) checked it out and said it needs a brake fluid flush and everything else is fine (no rust).

Thank so much for your feedback.
(BTW, I was stereotyping female drivers and more gentle drivers, but that may not have been the case.)
I trust the Toyota dealership where we bought the fit - serviced our cars for 13 years there and bought our last car a '99 camry at 130K, then put on another 120K with no problem. We had been looking at Corollas because my first car was an '89 Corolla. But after test driving a few '08 and '10 corollas, we needed a bigger cab and we liked the Fit radio sound. Also even though its just a few thousand more the newer fits are beyond our budget right now.
Thanks everyone for maintaining this forum. I can see myself turning into a motorhead with the Fit.

I am brand new to the Honda fit and just bought mine a week ago yesterday and they delivered it to my house. I bought it brand new with only 88 miles on it! First Brand new car I have ever owned and am loving it very much. It is a 2013 Honda Fit Base w/ 5 speed manual transmission and now I have over 300 miles on it, I'm almost through the break in period I believe. I already bought some side window visors for it too.
I bought it for $16,215, with a trade in of a 2002 Chevy Cavalier that had seen better days and got $1,000.00 trade in with it even with the rust holes in it and it had 97,800 miles on it that were well earned I would say.
Forgot to add it is Crystal Pearl Black which was the only color I liked.

I got my new 2013 Fit a week ago. I had ordered a Yaris, wanting to stay Toyota. The Yaris was to be here in 2 weeks from the port. I sold my car but was able to drive it a few more weeks, as a friend purchased it. However, it became obvious the Yaris was not going to appear sooner than 5-6 weeks. I re-considered the Fit. I wanted a non white standard and was able to buy one off the lot! Other than mileage and a 60 mile drive to the dealer, I favor it over the Yaris. I'm loving the drive!
I paid 17800 for a Fit Sport. It was within 50 bucks of the sport Yaris, and I qualified for the great end of year interest.
There were no deals on the Yaris, because they really don't market them much in the US. The Yaris was also around $100 a year more to insure. I feel like I got a very good deal on the Fit. Best part is -it's in my driveway!

That being said, you might be able to finance a new one for cheaper due to better financing rates on the new 13's
make sure you do your research!
Sounds right on target for a non CPO car according to KBB. Price sounds right to me. I would say go for it, and move quickly.

i didnt end up getting the car

we had an agreement on the phone for 16500 out the door, i confirmed several times. and called again this morning to make sure i can drive the car out today. had the check ready, drove all the way to Scottsdale, and they changed the price on me.
they wanted 17500 now, i love the orange color, but i was so pissed that they dont keep their words and try to trick their costumers.

I got an 09 Silver Sport M/T for 11K with 33,000km (20505mi) plus a practically new set of winter Blizzaks included. Would be a flawless car if not for a small dent on the quarter panel.
IS this car as much fun to drive as it has been all day?

2012 honda fit sport orange 4500 miles
14554+1157tax+ 788(dont know why its so high...)
$16500 OTD!
Congrats May! And great deal, Bucky! I think the real happiness is in how we choose to use the cars in our lives. Always happier to compare down. And, so, I save $20 a month over what the Yaris would have cost plus $100 less in insurance. But, I'll be happiest on road trips. Call me the happy camper!
