How much did you pay for your Fit?
I believe my wife and I arrived before you. Jon mentioned someone was coming in the same day from PA to pick up a car also. We flew into BWI and left Frederick, MD around 3 PM ET. Arrived in Dallas Friday night at about 11 PM CT. 1350 miles whew!!!! We love the car.
Just drove home yesterday in my new PMM 2011 Fit Sport (A/T) after a 3hr drive to Shockley Honda (well-worth it), $18,150 OTD. Glad to be a part of the community (finally!!)

PS: Jon Price (internet sales rep) mentioned them loading up a full Mugen equipped Sport Fit, and it should be on the lot soon. He said that he might post an ad for it in these forums, so keep your eyes peeled!

Grats on the car!
Congratulations to you also! My wife and her friends love the car. I still can't believe the prices down here in Texas. > 18 for a 2010 ???
So 18077 destination, fees and taxes included??
No tax since the trade was more than the new car!
$18,077 includes destination but not fees. I don't remember the exact number but it was probably 18,250 or something like that (don't have the numbers in front of me). Needless to say I wouldn't use my purchase price as an example of what to strive for. One could do better. I fought much harder on what I got for my trade since that was the bigger number anyway. Ended up financing $10k after trade, payoff, etc.

I live in the Philly area too and visited EVERY respectable dealer and couldn't get anything near that price... So I drove to MD.
2009 Fit Sport
After tax, title and 2 year registration, total $12,655
Had my four "musts" Sport, Black, 5 speed and one owner excellent condition.
Came with some nice genuine Honda add-ons; floor mats, wheel locks, rear bumper applique, door sill trim and Accord horn. Also paint matched shark fin antenna, quality window tint and LoJack.
So far couldn't be happier, love the car. It does need the valve spring recall done but I knew that in advance and no concern for me.

Document fee is basically garbage. Maybe a legit $30 or so fee in there. Ask them to itemize with details and explain what it is. Probably just pure profit.

Sorry - should have said it is automatic. I've gotten quotes from 3 dealers ($17,700, $16,998, $16,800 - told him the other quote) - all have said there is that same $298 fee. The $16,800 guy told me that in MA the state makes them charge it and it is bet. $200 and $400. Perhaps that is b.s.?

If it isn't paid to the state though, then its just a way of the dealer rigging the game.
You should be able to independently verify that documentation fee if it's legit. In cook county, IL there is a doc fee, $15. You don't mention destination fees, which is $750, is that included in that 16,800. If yes, then that's a pretty good deal. Good luck.
