Just installed greddy ti-c exhaust. Sounds cumtastic! When I first turned it on, thought it was someone elses car.

Crap! Fit is giving me the metaphorical equivalent of the blues screen of death. DTC p0606. Engine just randomly shuts down and requires restart. Messed up.

Dayum NLR, does that happen while your driving on the freeway too? I hope you get that remedied soon.....

Hopefully its not the lost motion spring. Did you try a reset? Maybe it needs a re-flash.

P0606 literally translates too: "The ECM has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" it's not mechanical.

Worst case scenario: ECM is toast.
Best case scenario: corrosion on ECM harness plug.

It seems to be related to the fuel cut during deceleration. What I'm basically seeing on my UEGO is the engine entering fuel cut as I coast to a stop. Then never exiting fuel cut and stalling.

That is probably easier then getting it re flashed any ways. P0606 PCM / ECM Processor Fault Code. I wonder if the Hi heat has has something to do with it. My IATs were 130 today.

Talking about bird poop which some says is acidic, anyone know how long before it eats into the paint work?

Though I tried to remove it ASAP but sometimes, I am out at work the whole day and not able to wash it off until I get back at the end of the day

I'm in the Navy and when we go out to sea I always get back with bird "ish" all over my car. Never seen any clear coat get damaged by it. (2-4wk timelines).

Good to hear that bird poop is mild at your area.

I am thinking perhaps, the poop acidity may be dependent on the bird's diet...may be Canadian birds are more acidic... I don't know.. but I tried to wash to off at my earliest opportunity... better safe than sorry....

Today, I almost shoved my Fit into the side of a mountain on California Highway 1, on my way to get gas and food.

Anyone want to join me for some crab tomorrow? What time does Fisherman's Wharf close?

Close all your windows and Restart. Isn't that the magical fix for everything?

Couldn't resist.

Have you tapped any lines to/From the ECU which might not have a good sealed connection that may have corroded?

Engine died. Car thinks there is perpetual catalyst damaging misfire. Temporary solution, disconnect the ckp. There is no misfire. But now I am rev limited to 3000 rpms very hard to drive like this. Can't diagnose it.

That's great.. what type of tires, brand and size? Do you like them in terms of road noise and handling?
